The Planning and Zoning Commission met in a joint public hearing/joint public session with the Town
Council on Tuesday, September 1, 1998. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was
open to the public.

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
A. TOWN COUNCIL: Mayor Carter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and
announced a quorum with Council members Kay Pratt and Susan McCabe absent.
B. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION: Chairman Hamper called the meeting to
order at 7:00 p.m. and announced a quorum with Commissioners David Schaaf and Don
Cotton absent.
.IOINT PUBLIC HEARING
2. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO OPEN JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH
THE TOWN COUNCIL:
Commissioner Hill moved to open the Joint Public Hearing with the Town Council at 7:29 p.m.
Commissioner Williams seconded; motion passed unanimously.
3. TOWN COUNCIL TO OPEN A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH THE PLANNING &
ZONING COMMISSION:
Mayor Pro tem Engelbeck moved to open the joint public hearing with the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Council Member Brewster seconded; motion passed unanimously.
4. TOWN COUNCIL TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING JOINTLY WITH THE
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RELATIVE TO THE FOLLOWING:
A. To consider a rezoning of 0.4006 acres (a 0.331 acre parcel known as lot 1674 currently
zoned R-10 and a 0.0696 acre parcel currently zoned R-15), which is proposed to be
designated on the Town's zoning district map as part of Planned Development #18
zoning district, single family residential, and lies north of Highway 114, west of TW
King Road and east of Eagle's Ridge, a subdivision in the northeast corner of the Town
of Trophy Club, Texas.
Pat Neeley, 110 Panorama Ct., spoke before the Council and Commission.
B. To consider a rezone of a .0221 acre tract adjoining Eagle's Ridge from a
commercial recreational district (CR) to R-12 district, single family residential.
No public comments.
C. To consider a replat of lot 26, Eagle's Ridge Subdivision, known as 209 Ridgeview
Lane.
No public comments.
5. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO CLOSE JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
AND/OR CONTINUE TO A DATE CERTAIN:

Commissioner Williams moved to close the joint public hearing with the Town Council. Commissioner Reed
seconded; motion passed unanimously.
6. TOWN COUNCIL TO CLOSE THE JOINT PUBLIC HEARING AND/OR CONTINUE TO A
DATE CERTAIN.
Council Member Brewster moved to close the joint public hearing with the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Council Member Carr seconded; motion passed unanimously
7. TOWN COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO CONVENE INTO A
JOINT SESSION.
The Town Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission convened into a joint session.
JOINT PUBLIC SESSION
8. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO OPEN JOINT PUBLIC SESSION:
Commissioner Hill moved to open the joint public session with the Town Council. Commissioner Williams
seconded; motion passed unanimously.
9. TOWN COUNCIL TO OPEN JOINT SESSION WITH THE PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION.
Mayor Pro Tem Engelbeck moved to open a joint session with the Planning & Zoning Commission. Council
Member Carr seconded; motion passed unanimously.
10. TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER A RECOMMENDATION FORM THE PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION REGARDING:
A. To consider a rezoning of 0.4006 acres (a 0.331 acre parcel known as lot 1674 currently

Following discussion, Council Member Carr moved to approve the rezone as presented. Council Member
Brewster seconded; motion passed unanimously.
C. To consider a replat of lot 26, Eagle's Ridge Subdivision, known as 209 Ridgeview
Lane.
Commissioner Williams moved to recommend to the Town Council to replat lot 26, Eagle's Ridge
Subdivision, known as 209 Ridgeview Lane. Commissioner Gilliland seconded; motion passed unanimously.
Following discussion, Council Member Carr moved to approve the replat as presented. Council Member
Brewster seconded; motion passed unanimously.
11. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO ADJOURN JOINT PUBLIC SESSION WITH
THE TOWN COUNCIL:
Commissioner Reed moved to adjourn the joint public session with the Town Council at 7:44p.m.
Commissioner Gilliland seconded; motion passed unanimously.
12. TOWN COUNCIL TO ADJOURN JOINT PUBLIC SESSION WITH THE PLANNINGAND
ZONING COMMISSION.
Mayor Pro Tem Engelbeck moved to close the joint public session with the Planning & Zoning Commission
at 7:45 pm. Council Member Brewster seconded; motion passed unanimously.
