Minutes P&Z 12/05/2002MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING & REGULAR SESSION FOR THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in a Public Hearing and a Regular Session on 21 November 2002, at 7:00 pm in the Public Works Conference Room of the Public Works Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas 76262, COMMISSIONERS ATTENDANCE: Chairman Hill Vice Chairman Gilliland Commissioner Ashby Commissioner Reed Commissioner Rodgers Commissioner Sheridan Commissioner Stephens STAFF AND GUESTS PRESENT: Kerin C. Fleck Roger Unger Randy Briggs present present excused present present present present Planning & Zoning Coordinator Finance Director Community Development Director CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM. Chairman Hill called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm, and announced a quorum was present. PUBLIC HEARING 2. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION TO OPEN PUBLIC HEARING. 3. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO THE FOLLOWING: Chairman Hill read the caption into the record. A. A REQUEST FOR AN AMENDMENT TO A PORTION OF THE SITE PLAN FOR A 6.000 ACRE TRACT OF LAND ZONED CR COMMERCIAL RECREATION, LOCATED GENERALLY TO THE NORTH OF THE LAKES OF TROPHY CLUB SUBDIVISION, EAST OF PARKVIEW DRIVE AND SOUTH OF MARSHALL CREEK ROAD. OWNER AND APPLICANT: TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB (SP -02-005). There were no requests to speak from the public, Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearing & Regular Session Meeting 5 December 2002 4. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION TO CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING AND/OR CONTINUE TO A DATE CERTAIN. A motion was made to close the public hearing. Motion: Reed Second: Gilliland Ayes: Hill, Sheridan, Rodgers, Stephens Nays: None Action: 6-0 Motion carried. 5. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION TO CONVENE INTO A REGULAR SESSION. *REGULAR SESSION 6. DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATIVE TO THE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDATION TO THE TOWN COUNCIL REGARDING THE ADOPTION OF THE FOLLOWING: A. A REQUEST FOR AN AMENDMENT TO A PORTION OF THE SITE PLAN FOR A 6.000 ACRE TRACT OF LAND ZONED CR COMMERCIAL RECREATION, LOCATED GENERALLY TO THE NORTH OF THE LAKES OF TROPHY CLUB SUBDIVISION, EAST OF PARKVIEW DRIVE AND SOUTH OF MARSHALL CREEK ROAD. OWNER AND APPLICANT: TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB (SP -02-005). Mr, Unger addressed the Commission and briefly addressed the details of the Site Plan. There have been two changes to the Site Plan before the Commission: the transformer and dumpster locations have been moved and both items will be completely screened from public view. The large pool will be There will be two (2) zero entry pools for children and the pools will include seven (7) spray features. Town staff will do the landscaping "in-house" in order to save money.
