Trophy Club resident Tom Mills spoke to the history of Trophy Club Park and
remarked on its frequency to flood.
Director Ellis provided a presentation of the Trophy Club Park Plan, a component
of the larger Trophy Club Parks & Recreation Master Plan still under development.
Director Ellis noted the plan is intended to be a guiding document in the development of
the park. The consulting firm, Parkhill, developed the Trophy Club Park Plan using input
collected during community engagement and stakeholder interviews, as well as
documentation on similar facilities and parks in the area.
Director Ellis gave a brief description of each "zone" outlined in the document
and the amenities each could include. It is important to note that the amenities and
additions listed in the Plan are possibilities only and do not reflect what may or may not
be added to the park in the future. Changes to the park in the future would respect the
history and identity of the park.
Chairperson Kashner motioned to recommend the Trophy Club Park Plan, a
component of the Parks &Recreation Master Plan, to be presented to Council in the
overall adoption of the Master Plan. Vice Chairperson Schrein seconded the motion.
Chairperson Kashner called for a vote. The motion passed unanimously (6-0).
