Parks and Recreation Board Meeting
Meeting Minutes — January 20, 6:00 p.m.

CALL TO ORDER
The Parks and Recreation Board convened into a regular meeting.
Chairperson Kashner called the Parks and Recreation Board meeting to order at
6:00 p.m.

REGULAR ITEMS
1. Update on Parks & Recreation Master Plan.
Director Ellis discussed the Town Council's review and input on Draft Parks &
Recreation Master Plan during the last Town Council Meeting and Town Council Retreat.
Staff is currently working to review the Action Items presented in the Master Plan. Staff
plans to take the Master Plan to Town Council for adoption on February 23, 2026.
2. Tree Inventory & Management Plan.

Director Ellis introduced the Tree Inventory & Management Plan project to the
Board, identifying Davey Resource Group, Inc. as the contractor proposed to complete
the project. Davey will scan 3D and physically inspect all publicly owned trees to identify
the species, health, and maintenance needs.
Staff will be able to produce data -driven reports on the Town's urban canopy and
use the information provided by certified arborists and landscape architects to make
maintenance decisions.
3. Consider approval of the December 1, 2025, Parks & Recreation Board regular
meeting minutes.
Board member Simmons motioned to recommend the Parks & Recreation
Master Plan to the Town Council for approval. Board member Beck seconded the
motion. Chairperson Kashner called for a vote.

AYES: Kashner, Ferguson, Packan, Beck, Simmons, Tombari
NAYES: None
VOTE: 6-0
ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson Kashner adjourned the Parks and Recreation Board meeting at 6:32
