ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
May 20, 1999
The Zoning Board of Adjustments of the Town of Trophy Club,Texas met in a Regular Session on May
20, 1999 at 4:00 P.M. in the Conference Room, Trophy Club Administration Building, 100 Municipal
Drive,Trophy Club,Texas 76262.
BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:
Pearl Ford Chairperson
Bettye Dayton Board Member
Roger Unger Board Member
Stuart Herigodt Board Member
Player"Bud" Cook Alternate Board Member
BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT:
John Ward Board Member
David Henry Alternate Board Member
STAFF AND GUESTS PRESENT:
Kristie McPherson Acting Recording Secretary
Tiffany Haertling Attorney
CALL TO ORDER,ROLL CALL AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
Chairperson Ford called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.took roll call and announced a quorum.
REVIEW AND APPROVE MINUTES:
Board Member Unger moved to approve the minutes of November 2, 1998 as presented. Board Member
Dayton seconded;motion passed unanimously.
ORIENTATION REGARDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF ZBA AND THE
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD MEMBERS(Tiffany Haertling):
An orientation was given by Town Attorney,Tiffany Haertling,that addressed the standards in granting a
variance and the requirements of demonstrating and showing a hardship and she stressed that economics
do not constitute a hardship.
DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION REGARDING CHANGES TO "RULES OF
PROCEDURES",DATED 5/88:
The Board discussed with the Town Attorney changes needed to bring the "Rules" up to date and in
compliance with the current Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.
Following discussion,Board Member Unger moved to approve the "Rules of Procedure of the Zoning Board
of Adjustment of the Town of Trophy Club," with the discussed changes. Board Member Cook seconded;
motion passed unanimously.

OTHER MATTERS THAT MAY COME BEFORE THE BOARD:
Board Member Cook notified the Chairperson he would not be available for the June 1, 1999 public
hearing.
ADJOURN:
There being no further business,Board Member Unger moved to adjourn at 5:42 p.m. Board Member
Dayton seconded;motion passed unanimously.
