The Parks and Recreation Board convened a joint meeting with the Town Council.
Chairperson Kashner called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

1. Summer Camp and Aquatics Update (Madison Seil, Recreation Superintendent)

Parks & Recreation Board/Town Council Joint Meeting Minutes – June 15, 2026 Page 2
Madison Seil, Recreation Superintendent, provided an update on summer
programming, including summer camp activities, aquatics programs, swim lessons, water
aerobics, and the Tritons swim team, and provided an update regarding the installation
of shade structures at the community pool.
2. July 4th Update on Schedule and Activities (Madison Seil, Recreation
Superintendent)
Ms. Seil provided an overview of the Town's July 4th events, including the Patriot
5K and Fun Run, Parade of Patriots, and Independence Day Celebration. Updates were
also provided regarding event logistics, parking, entertainment, and new activities
planned for this year's celebration.

minutes.
Board Member Beck moved to approve the May 18, 2026 Parks & Recreation
board regular meeting minutes. Board Member Tombari seconded the motion.

2. Review and discuss purchasing the former Premier Academy Facility located at
945 Trophy Club Drive. (Chase Ellis, Director of Parks & Recreation)
Mayor Tiffany introduced the discussion regarding the Town's potential acquisition
of the former Premier Academy facility for use as a future community recreation facility.
Parks and Recreation Director Chase Ellis presented information regarding the
proposed acquisition, including:
• Alignment with the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and Strategic Plan
initiatives;
• Opportunities to expand recreational programming for youth, adults, and active
seniors;
• Increased capacity for summer camps, fitness programs, educational
programming, community meetings, and special events;
• Preliminary renovation and operating cost estimates;
• Potential funding sources;
• Project timeline and anticipated next steps.

Board Members and Council Members discussed the facility's location, programming
opportunities, operating costs, parking availability, community benefits, and public
engagement process.
Town Manager Wright advised that the Town is currently within the due diligence
period and that public hearings regarding the project are anticipated at upcoming July
Town Council meetings.
No action was taken by either the Town Council or Parks and Recreation Board.

Chairperson Kashner adjourned the meeting at 7:05 p.m.
