RESOLUTION NO. 2026-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, OFFICIALLY NAMING THE TOWN'S NEW
RECREATION FACILITY THE "TROPHY CLUB COMMUNITY
CENTER"; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club is a home rule municipality acting under
its charter adopted by the electorate pursuant to Article XI, Section 5, of the Texas
Constitution and Chapter 9 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the Town has acquired a facility located at 945 Trophy Club Dr.,
Town of Trophy Club, TX 76262, to provide recreational, community, and related
programs and services for Trophy Club residents and the community; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council adopted the Town Facility Naming & Special
Recognition Plaque Policy by Resolution No. 2025-22 to establish a process and
criteria for the naming and renaming of Town facilities; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Town Facility Naming & Special Recognition
Plaque Policy, the Town Council conducted a public hearing on September 14, 2026,
to receive public input regarding the proposed name of the facility; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has considered the proposed name and finds that
"Trophy Club Community Center" appropriately identifies the facility and reflects its
intended use as a community gathering and recreation facility serving the residents of
Trophy Club; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that officially naming the facility the "Trophy
Club Community Center" is in the best interest of the Town and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The facts and recitals set forth in the preamble of this Resolution
are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2. The Town Council hereby officially names the Town-owned
recreation facility the "Trophy Club Community Center."

Section 3. The Town Manager or designee is authorized to take all necessary
adns to implement the naming of the facility, including the design and installation of
appropriate signage and incorporation of the facility name into Town communications
and materials.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect from and after its date of passage in
accordance with law.
PASSED and APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas, on this 14th day of September 2026.
