The Parks & Recreation Board of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a RegularSession on
Monday, September 19, 2016 at 7:00p.m. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the
Town and was open to the public.

Call to order and announce a quorum.
Board Member Nimphiuscalled themeetingto order at 7:05p.m. notinga quorum was

REGULAR SESSION
Citizen Presentations:

Board Member Hockermade a motion to approve the July 18, 2016 minutes.Board
Member Murrayseconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Board recognition of outgoing members

Staff/Board updates on the following; discussion of same:

Community Pool
a.
Resident usage increased in the 2016 season. Staff is providing a review of the
2016 season at the October meeting. Rotating the large slide in the spray pad
was successful.
PetFest
b.
There was a good turnout at the event. Staff plans to follow-up with vendors for
their feedback of the event. The event time may be shortened to 2 hours.
October events
c.
Fall Fest is planned for October 15th and the Family Campout are planned for
Town of Trophy ClubPage 7 of 27Monday, October 17, 2016
October 22nd.The Christmas event will be held at Indy East Park opposed to the
clock tower. Kite Fest is delayed until April.
Future Capital Projects
d.
Staff plans to discuss upcoming projects at the October meeting. The goal is to
have the projects completed by Christmas. Upcoming projects:
i.Shade structure at the Community Pool
ii.Shade structure at the Indy West
iii.Fencing next to Lakeview
iv.Fencing at Harmony Park
v.Update Indy West bathrooms
vi.Veteran’s Memorial parking lot
vii.Harmony parking lot
Lakeview Update
e.
The contractor was supposed to finish on September 23rd. Staff extended the
deadline to October 1st. Staff is doubtful the contractor will meet the new October
1st deadline.
Youth and Adult Sports
f.
i.Bocce Ball - There are 10 teams registered for the fall season. Staff is
installing plaques on the courts for the prior winners.
ii.Kickball - There are 13 teams registered for the fall season.
iii.Football - Staff is looking at options to find a place for teams to play.
Trophy Club Park
g.
Staff received proposals for the debris cleanup. Board member Murray
recommended building trails for UTV use. Staff is in the process of soliciting a
debris monitor. Board member Mills mentioned issues with vandalism on the
nature trails.
