RESOLUTION NO. 2017-26
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2016-29 AND
ADOPTING A NEW RESOLUTION MAKING ANNUAL APPOINTMENTS
AND AFFIRMING EXISTING APPOINTMENTS; PROVIDING FOR THE
APPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE ON THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF REINVESTMENT ZONE NO. 1, TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A
CHAIRPERSON; DESIGNATING TERMS OF SERVICE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, benefits by having its citizens
involved in local government through service on Boards, Commissions, and
Corporations; and
WHEREAS, the Trophy Club Town Council is responsible for making
appointments to the Boards, Commissions, and Corporations serving the Town whose
terms are expiring; and
WHEREAS, on September 27, 2016, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy
Club adopted Resolution No. 2016-29, making new citizen volunteer appointments and
affirming current appointments to serve on the Board of Directors of Reinvestment Zone
No. 1, Town of Trophy Club for the 2016-2017 fiscal year, as well as appointing a
Chairperson; and
WHEREAS, state law mandates that one person be appointed to serve as the
Chairperson for the Board of Reinvestment Zone No. 1, Town of Trophy Club with a
term of service for the Chairperson being for one (1) year and commencing on January
1 of each year; and
WHEREAS, the term of service for the currently designated Chairperson for the
Board expires on December 31, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to appoint a member of the Board of
Directors to serve as a Chairperson with a term commencing on January 1, 2018 and
expiring on December 31, 2018; and
WHEREAS, by passage of this Resolution, the Town Council hereby repeals
Resolution No. 2016-29 and adopts this Resolution, filling one (1) vacancy for the
remainder of an unexpired term, making new citizen volunteer appointments, and
affirming current appointments to serve on the Board of Directors of Reinvestment Zone
No. 1, Town of Trophy Club for the 2017-2018 fiscal year, as well as appointing a
member of the Board of Directors to serve as Chairperson for the period commencing
January 1, 2018 and expiring on December 31, 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the foregoing recitals are incorporated herein as if written word
for word.
Section 2. That the Town Council hereby repeals Resolution No. 2016-29 and
adopts this Resolution to fill one (1) vacancy for the remainder of an unexpired term,
appoint or affirm, as applicable, the following individuals to serve on the Board of
Directors of Reinvestment Zone No. 1, Town of Trophy Club with respective terms of
service ending on September 30 of the year specified below for each individual and to
appoint a Chairperson to serve on the Board:

Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective from and after its date of
passage in accordance with the law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas, on this 26th day of September 2017.
