The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the Town of Trophy Club,Texas, met in a Regular
Session on Monday,January 8, 2018. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was
open to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Board Member Paul Glowacki called the meeting to order and announced a quorum at 6:00 p.m.
CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS
Citizens are allowed three(3)minutes to address the Board regarding an item over which the Board has
policy or oversight authority as provided by Texas law, the ethics order, or other policy order.
No citizens addressed the Board.
REGULAR SESSION
1. Discuss and take appropriate action regarding the Trophy Club Crime Control and Prevention
District Board Minutes for November 30,2017.
Board Member Paul Glowacki called for a review of the minutes of the November 30, 2017
Meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District. The minutes were reviewed and a motion
was made by Richard Savage to accept [or table] the November 30, 2017 minutes as presented.
Motion seconded by Board Member Sara Lapacka.
Motion approved by a vote of 7-0.
2. Discussion of and take appropriate action regarding an Election Order to order and call a
Special Election to be held on May 5,2018 for the purpose of holding a Continuation
Referendum for the Trophy Club Crime Control and Prevention District.
Board Member Paul Glowacki called for a review of the Referendum. The attachment was
reviewed and a motion was made by JJ Isherwood to accept the Referendum as presented. Lou
Opipare seconded the motion.
Motion approved by a vote of 7-0.
3. Police Department update.
Chief Arata gave update on Police Department welcoming our new CCPD members and
welcoming to the Council Chambers. Sergeant Todd Mauthe retired and we will begin recruiting
for sergeant position in next month. The Police Department is still settling in and moving along;
going back to the basics is the department plan for the year and going forward. The two new
young men in the Academy are doing well and one new officer is in FTO phase.
Paul Glowacki inquired about the funds discussion from the previous meeting. Chief informed
Board that funds had been used for discounted technology through IT, surplus office furniture
and in future will be used for Tasers and other officer equipment due to IT's deep discount on
technology for the Police Department.

Board Member Richard Savage made a motion to adjourn at 6:08 p.m. Motion seconded by Board
Member Lou Opipare. Meeting adjourned at 6:08 p.m.
