CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Chairman Senelly called the April 97, 2014 Planning and Zoning Commission
meeting to order at 7.00 p.m. and announced a quorum present (6 members).
Present: 6 - Chairman Richard Senelly, Commissioner Fred Allen, Commissioner
Dennis Sheridan, Commissioner Garrett Reed, Commissioner Brent Card,.
and Vice Chair Larry Vowell
Absent: 1 - Commissioner Mark Sadley
STAFF PRESENT.

2014-971-T review and approve the minutes of the February 20, 2014 Planning and
Zoning Commission meeting.

No action taken. Chairman Senelly asked that the minutes be reviewed for accuracy.
This item will come back to the Planning & Zoning Commission for approval at
a future date.
REGULAR SESSION
2014-1066-T Consider and take appropriate action regarding a Final Plat for Canterbury Hills,
Phase 3 (20.716 acres) located out of the M. Medlin Survey, Abstract No. 832 in the
Town of Trophy Club, Denton County, Texas; Owner/Developer BDMR Development,
LLC.

Sheridan: I am going to make a motion that we table this for the next meeting
because there is a significant difference between the preliminary plat and the
final plat based on the design of the streets, and there is a question over the
legality of the extension of the preliminary. I so move.
Reed. I second the motion.
Senelly: I'll call for the vote on a motion to table to a future meeting this final
plat. Any last comments? All those in favor of tabling to a future meeting,
please raise your hand.
Ayes: Sheridan, Reed, Allen
Nay. Senelly, Vowell, Card
Vote, 3-3
If a vote ends in a tie, the vote fails.
The motion to table fails.
Commissioner Vowell: I'll make a motion to approve.
Commissioner Card: I'll second.
Senelly: I'm going to call for a vote on the motion to approve the final plat.
Ayes: Senelly, Vowell, Card
Nays: Sheridan, Reed, Allen
Vote: 3-3
If a vote ends in a tie, the vote faits.
The motion to approve falls.

No: 3- Commissioner Allen, Commissioner Sheridan, and Commissioner Reed
2014-1092-T Discussion and recommendation regarding a request for approval of a change to the
signage for Dr. Crumpton's medical office building, 301 Trophy Branch Drive, Lot
2R-1, Block B, Trophy Wood Business Center. Applicant: Curt Horak, Priority Signs
and Graphics on behalf of David L. Crumpton

A motion was made by Commissioner Allen, seconded by Commissioner Card,
that this Agenda Item be Recommended for Approval to the Town Council.
This item to be heard by the Council on April 21, 2014. The motion carried by
the following vote.
Aye: 6- Chairman Senelly, Commissioner Allen, Commissioner Sheridan,
Commissioner Reed. Commissioner Card. and Vice Chair Vowell
