CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Chairman Sheridan called the February 19, 2015, Planning and Zoning Commission meeting
to order at 7:03 p.m. and announced a quorum present (6 members).
Present: 6 - Commissioner Card, Commissioner Oldham, Chairman Sheridan,
Vice Chairman Vowell, Commissioner Ross, and Commissioner Mills
Absent: 1 - Commissioner Senelly

2015-0135-T Consideration and take appropriate action regarding the December 11, 2014
Planning and Zoning Commission meeting minutes.

Motion made by Vice Chairman Vowell, seconded by Commissioner Oldham, to approve the
December 11, 2014 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting minutes. The motion carried by the
following vote.
Aye: 6 - Commissioner Card, Commissioner Oldham, Chairman Sheridan,
Vice Chairman Vowell, Commissioner Ross, and Commissioner Mills
2015-0133-T Discussion and recommendation regarding a request from Pulte Group for a
Temporary Use Permit - Ch. 13 - Section 5.01, of the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance, to allow a Construction Trailer, located at 2830 Waverly Drive.

Motion made by Chairman Sheridan, seconded by Commissioner Card, to approve the Temporary
Use Permit subject to the following conditions:
• sod move
a 24" shrubs in front of trailer
• fence to screen

The motion carried by the following vote.

Against: 1 - Commissioner Mills
2015-0134-T Discussion and recommendation regarding a request from Lennar Homes for a
Temporary Use Permit - Ch. 13 - Section 5.01, of the Comprehensive Zoning
Ordinance, to allow a Construction Trailer, located at 2824 Balmoral Drive.

Motion made by Chairman Sheridan, seconded by Vice Chairman Vowell, to approve the
Temporary Use Permit subject to the following conditions:
• sod, landscaping, and maintenance thereof
• fence to hide construction material

2015-0094-T Discussion and recommendation regarding amendments to the Town of
Trophy Club Code of Ordinances Ch. 5, Section 4 - Sign Regulations.

This is a continuation from February 5, 2015, of discussion and recommendation by Commissioners
regarding amendments to real estate signs.
CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS
Citizens are allowed three (3) minutes to address the Board regarding an item over which the Board has policy or
oversight authority as provided by Texas law, the ethics order, or other policy order.
REQUEST TO SPEAK

Motion made by Chairman Sheridan, seconded by Commissioner Mills, to recommend to Town
Council to create a new section in ordinance under Real Estate Signs called "Builder Directional
Signs" as proposed.
Motion made by Commissioner Mills, seconded by Chairman Sheridan, to amend previous motion
as follows:
to recommend to Town Council to create a new section in ordinance under Real Estate Signs
called "Builder Directional Signs" as proposed, this item be tabled until the new section
is drafted by staff as proposed and brought back to the Planning and Zoning
Commission before is goes to Town Council.
The motion to amend carried by the following vote.

Commissioner Ross, and Commissioner Mills

The original motion as amended carried by the following vote.

Motion made by Chairman Sheridan, seconded by Commissioner Oldham, that this item on Real
Estate Signs be tabled, that staff make revisions as discussed tonight, and include it in our next
meeting's packet.
Aye: 5 - Commissioner Oldham, Chairman Sheridan, Vice Chairman Vowell,
Commissioner Ross, and Commissioner Mills
Against: 1 - Commissioner Card
No future agenda items were posted on February 19, 2015.
The Planning and Zoning Commission will continue the conversation on signs including other items
besides Real Estate Signs at their next meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:58 p.m.

be adjourned. The motion carried by the following vote.
