ETHICS REVIEW COMMISSION REGULAR SESSION MINUTES
WEDNESDAY,MAY 17,2017 AT 4:00 P.M.

The Ethics Review Commission of the Town of Trophy Club,Texas, met in Regular Session on Wednesday, May 17,
2017.The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the public.

Town Attorney Dodd announced the date of Wednesday, May 17, 2017, called the meeting to order and
announced a quorum at 4:02 p.m.
REGULAR SESSION
1. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the appointment of the Chairman(Staff).
Motion:
Motion made by Alternate Commissioner Blake, seconded by Alternate Commissioner Bautista, to appoint Jared
King to serve as the Chairman of the Ethics Review Commission.
Motion passed unanimously.
2. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the appointment of the Vice Chairman(Staff).
Motion:
Motion made by Chairman King, seconded by Alternate Commissioner Blake,to appoint Cory Williamson to serve
as the Vice Chairman of the Ethics Review Commission.
Motion passed unanimously.
3. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the Ethics Review Commission Minutes dated May 18,2016
(Staff).
Motion:
Motion made by Chairman King, seconded by Alternate Commissioner Bautista, to approve the Ethics Review
Commission Minutes dated May 18,2016,as presented in the packet.
Motion passed unanimously.
4. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the Code of Ethics and Conduct ordinance, providing any
recommendations to the Town Council for amendments(Staff).
Town Attorney Dodd provided a brief overview of the Standards of Conduct, procedures for filing a complaint,and
the roles and responsibility of the Ethics Review Commission. He advised that the ordinance established the
appropriate process and procedures for complaints filed with the Town.
Conversation ensued about the process of timely and untimely filed complains pursuant to Section 1.05.007,
Disposition of alleged violations,Subsection(c).
Chairman King advised that according to Section 1.05.006 of the Trophy Club Code of Ordinances,the Commission
was required to review the Code of Ethics and Conduct article on an annual basis and may provide any
recommendations to the Town Council for amendments.
Conversation took place that there were no proposed amendments to the current ordinance as it was written.
No action was taken on this item.

Motion made by Chairman King,seconded by Alternate Commissioner Blake,to adj•urn the meeting at 4:19 p.m.
Motion passed unanimously.
