The Animal Shelter Board for the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Regular Session on May 20, 2015.
The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the public.

Susan Edstrom, Chairman
Tony Simmons -Municipal Official, Vice Chair
Melissa Burns, Town Resident
Kelly Akin -ACO, Secretary
BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT:
Dr. Bruce Fusselman, Veterinarian
Danielle Stewart, Animal Welfare Representative
STAFF AND GUEST(S) PRESENT:
Patrick Arata, Police Chief, Staff Liaison
CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Chairman Edstrom called the meeting to order and announced a quorum at 6:37 p.m.
CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS
Citizens are allowed three (3) minutes to address the Board regarding an item over which the Board
has policy or oversight authority as provided by Texas law, the ethics order, or other policy order.
No citizens addressed the Commission.
REGULAR SESSION
1. Discuss updates to Animal Ordinances and Codes
The Board reviewed the current Animal Ordinance and discussed changes that would be
presented to Council as recommendations. The Board also discussed a proposal dealing with
fowl within the Town limits. The Board discussed the recommendation and will plan to meet
again on June 10, 2015 for the purpose of drafting the update for presentation to Council on
June 23, 2015.
A Chicken Survey was provided to the Board members, as well, and will be reviewed in detail by
Chairman Edstrom. Ms. Edstrom will provide a summary prior to the June 10, 2015 meeting.
2. Discuss and take appropriate action on animal shelter inspection.
Dr. Fusselman was not in attendance; Dr. Fusselman will be provided an update on current
meeting and notified of pending inspection due date.
ADJOURN
Chairman Edstrom, made a motion to adjourn at 7:51 PM; motion seconded by Melissa Burns. Motion
approved by a vote of 4-0.
