RESOLUTION NO. 2019-07
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OFFICIALLY ADOPTING THE
COMPREHENSIVE TRAIL MASTER PLAN AND NAMING TRAILS IN TROPHY
CLUB AND TROPHY CLUB PARK AS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A"; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town Council, has determined that the Town's best interest will be to
approve the Comprehensive Trail Master Plan as it identifies the Town's trail system; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Trail Master Plan provides a framework for improving
connectivity to the Town's parks and various neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Trail Master Plan focuses on improving connectivity to
local destinations, linking to various trails, increasing safety and accessibility for all trail users;
and
WHEREAS, the 2019 Comprehensive Trail Master Plan provides a comprehensive
explanation of the Town's vision and needs. The purpose of the plan is to guide the Town's
investment in trails and promote physical activity among children and adults; and
WHEREAS, it is beneficial to have trails that are a part of Safe Routes to School and
other parts of Town; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of the health, safety, and wellbeing of the general public
within our community, the Town's and Trophy Club Park's trails will represent a valuable asset
and legacy for generations to come.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. The Town of Trophy Club hereby approves the Comprehensive Trail
Master Plan, naming all Town trails and Trophy Club Parks trails.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective from and after the date of passage
in accordance with law.
PASSED and APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas on this
26th day of March 2019.
