The Economic Development Corporation 4B of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in
a Workshop/Regular Session March 12, 2001. The meeting was held within the
boundaries of the Town and was open to the public.

WORKSHOP SESSION
CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
Vice -President Hicks stated a quorum was present and proceeded to the regular session.
DISCUSSION OF REGULAR AGENDA ITEMS:
No discussion.
ADJOURN WORKSHOP SESSION:
REGULAR SESSION
CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
Vice -President Hicks called the meeting to order and announced a quorum at 6:35 p.m.
UPDATE BY PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE REGARDING A BOOTH
AND REPRESENTATION AT THE RTCW CHAMBER JOB FAIR IN APRIL.
DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION:
Jodi Ashby, Public Relations Committee, requested funds and volunteers to man the
booth at the job fair on April 281h Directors Hicks, Christlieb, Witherspoon and Cotton
volunteered to help man the booth. Director Christlieb made a motion to fund up to
$2,000 for obtaining materials and manning of the booth. Director Witherspoon
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION REGARDING PUBLIC HEARING
FOR FUND REQUESTS:
A. PARKS GRANT
B. FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
C. TOWN MEMBERSHIPS/DUES
D. OTHER
Director Smith made a motion to accept the fund requests and hold a public hearing at the
next meeting on April 9th. The requests are: $20,000 for the Texas Parks and Wildlife
Parks grant, $12,500 for fireworks and up to $4,000 for matching of new advertisement
for the Fourth of July celebration, $6,600 for Town of Trophy Club memberships and
dues, and up to $2,000 for the booth at the RTCW Job Fair in April. Director Cates
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
UPDATE REGARDING ADVERTISING IN AND FOR BROCHURES.
DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION:
Director Cates stated she was waiting on census information to complete the
demographics on the brochures for the Public Relations Committee.
REVIEW AND APPROVE MINUTES:
Director Smith made a motion to accept the minutes as written. Director Cates seconded.
Motion passed unanimously with Directors Cotton and Witherspoon abstaining.
REVIEW AND APPROVE FINANCIAL REPORT:
Director Christlieb made a motion to accept the financial report as written. Director
Smith seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Pam Cates stated that her brother works for Fidelity and can arrange for a tour. The tour
will be scheduled April 9th prior to the next EDC 413 meeting.
ADJOURN:
Director Cotton made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:28 p. m. Director Christlieb
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
