Minutes Planning and Zoning Commission 19 April 2007 Page 26 of 29 MINUTES OF A REGULAR SESSION FOR THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION 5 APRIL 2007 The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in a Regular Session on 5 April 2007, at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room of the Public Services Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas 76262. COMMISSIONERS ATTENDANCE: Chairman Hill present Vice Chairman Stephens present Commissioner Ashby excused Commissioner Moss present Commissioner Reed present Commissioner Sanchez present Commissioner Sheridan excused STAFF AND GUESTS PRESENT: Shannon DePrater Interim Planning & Zoning Coordinator Matt Johnson Applicant, Standard Pacific Homes/ First Graphic Services, Inc. A.1 CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM. Chairman Hill called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Chairman Hill introduced and welcomed Commissioner Sanchez. B.1 Discuss and take appropriate action relative to a request for Meritorious Exception to Article IV, "Sign Regulations", Section 4.06, "Commercial and Institutional Signs" of Chapter 5, "General Land Use", for one additional Development Sign for Turnberry at Trophy Club subdivision, to be located at Lot 6, Block A. Applicant: First Graphic Services, Inc. Mr. Matt Johnson addressed the Commission and explained the need for the additional sign. Chairman Hill stated his understanding for the additional sign and said he was in full support of the second sign. Commissioners Stephens, Reed and Moss had no objections with the additional sign. Commissioner Sanchez questioned the reasoning of sign placement. Mr. Johnson answered that the sign placement is at both entrances of the development. B.2 Review and approve minutes. A. March 15, 2007 A motion was made to approve the March 15, 2007 minutes as written. Motion: Stephens Second: Moss Ayes: Hill, Stephens, Moss, Reed Action: 4-0-1, with Commissioner Sanchez abstaining Motion carried. C.1 Adjournment. Chairman Hill adjourned the meeting at 7:12 pm.
