Minutes P&Z 05/05/1986 - Joint SessionMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS THE STATE OF TEXAS ) COUNTY OF DENTON ) The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Trophy Club met in Regular Session following a Joint Session with the Town Council on May 5th, 1986. The meeting was held at the Municipal Utility Building, 100 Water Plant Road, Trophy Club, Texas. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the Public. Bill Tynes Chairman Peter Reuss Co -Chairman Gene Aerstin Commissioner Ralph Kemp Commissioner Charles Goodin Commissioner Jan Clinkenbeard Commissioner Mike Hamper Commissioner Also present were members of the Town staff: Dan Boutwell Engineer Donna Welsh City Secretary Chairman Tynes announced that the next meeting would be held on May 19th at 7:00PM. Chairman Tynes had several sign ordinances from other cities. Each commissioner took one to review and will report back at the next meeting. Commissioner Reuss suggested having a block diagram as a means of keeping track of ordinances. This will enable the commission to identify where each ordinance stands. Commissioner Reuss stressed the need to organize the flow of material so time would riot be wasted reviewing the status of each project at every roeeting. Chairman Tynes stated that each member of the P & Z was assigned to a specific committee to develop the goals and objectives for the roaster planning process. The new commissioners will be assigned as follows: Residential: Commission members Clinkenbeard and Hamper Transportation & Landscaping: Commissioner Goodin The Commission reviewed the priority lists and tasks that are now being worked on: page 1. Tree preservation Ordinance: City Secretary will check to see the status of the Ordinance. Commissioner Aerstin will review the ordinance when it comes back to the P h Z. 2. C.I.A. Deed Restrictions and Covenants: Chairman Tyres will review with the Attorney. 3. Drainage Ordinance: Being prepared in a proposal form for the May 19th meeting by Freese and Nichols. Also a report will be given by Dar, Boutwell concerning the condition of the existing streets. 4. Subdivision Regulations: Waiting or, a May 19th proposal. 5. Sign Ordinance: Several sample ordinances are being reviewed by the Commissioners and will be discussed at the next meeting. 6. Park Land: This will be discussed at a public hearing after the goals and objectives committees have presented their reports. 7. Commercial/Recreational Ordinance: Will be developed by the Commercial Goals and Objectives Committee. 8. Pool Ordinance: Dan Boutwell, Commissioner's Aerstin and Clinkenbeard, will bring sample ordinances for the commission to review. MAY 19TH AGENDA Chairman Tynes outlined items for the next regular meeting: Dan Boutwell of Freese and Nichols will make two, proposals: Streets and Drainage Subdivision Regulations Also, the commission will discuss the sign ordinances that are being reviewed by the Commissioners.
