Minutes P&Z 11/03/1986MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS THE STATE OF TEXAS ) COUNTY OF DENTON ) The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Trophy Club met in Regular Session on Monday, November 3rd, 1986 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Utility District Building, 100 Water Plant Road, Trophy Club, Texas 76262. The meeting was open to the public and was held within the boundaries of the Town. COMMISSION TO CONSIDER A VARIANCE TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE FOR TEXAS ADVERTISING John Hiltz with Sunbelt Savings in Dallas, Texas requested a variance to the Sign Ordinance. He asked to put up 3 (4 x 8) signs in three different areas of Trophy Club. Jan Clinkenbeard made a motion to deny the variance to the Sign Ordinance. Pete Reuss seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. COMMISSION TO CONSIDER A VARIANCE TO THE FENCE ORDINANCE FOR A) 19 HILLCREST COURT SOUTH B) 2 EDGEMERE COURT Member Reuss made a motion to table any consideration of a variance to the Fence Ordinance until a on sight inspection could be made of these properties. Member Clinkenbeard seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. UPDATE FROM JOHN SHELLER ON BUILDING PUT UP AT SOCCER FIELD John Sheller talked to Ed Snider with Independent American about the building that was put up by the Sports Association at the soccer field in Section 12. Ed Snider had no problems with the building being there and told John Sheller if he could get a letter from the City stating that they also ,have no problems with the building being there that the Sports Association would be allowed to leave the building on Independent Americans property.. The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider a temporary permit at the next meeting on Nov. 17th, 1986. PAGE 2 COMMISSION TO REVIEW REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF PLAT PLAN FOR SECTION 13 Member Clinkenbeard made the motion to table the request for approval of Plat Plan for Section 13 until December 1st, 1986 meeting. Reuss seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. PRESENTATIONS BY DAN BOUTWELL WITH FREEZE & NICOLES A) SUB -DIVISION REGULATIONS Dan Boutwell suggested to the Commission that the Attorney, John Hill, review and be prepared to answer questions on policies and procedures of the Sub -Division Regulations.Dan also asked Commission to review carefully and set up a joint meeting with the City Council to discuss Sub -Division Regulations. B) COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP Dan Boutwell displayed a copy of the Comprehensive Plan Map to the Commission for review. The Commission was very pleased with the rough draft of the Compre- hensive Plan Map. Member Clinkenbeard asked Boutwell about an Ordinance to dead end certain street in Trophy Club. Member Clinkenbeard made a motion to have John Hill, Town Attorney draw up an Ordinance that would allow the City to have Monterey Drive and Durango Drive designated as Dead End Streets. Member Reuss seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. ADJOURN Member Clinkenbeard made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Reuss seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. CHAIRMAN.
