Minutes P&Z 01/21/1988 - Joint Public HearingMINUTES OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING TOWN COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS THE STATE OF TEXAS ) COUNTY OF DENTON ) The Town Council and Planning and Zoning Commission met in Joint Session on January 21st, 1988 at 7:00 P.M. at the Municipal Utility District Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy CLub, Texas. The meeting was held within the Town boundaries and was open to the Public. INVOCATION Commissioner Hiestand gave the Invocation. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chairman Hamper led in the Pledge of Allegiance. THE TOWN COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO CONTINUE A PUBLIC HEARING AND CONSIDER POSSIBLE ACTION ON THE ZONING OF CERTAIN TRACTS OF LAND LOCATED WITHIN THE TOWN BOUNDARIES AND OWNED BY THE FOLLOWING DEVELOPERS: PUBLIC HEARING: BASS LAND COMPANY AND SUNBELT SERVICE CORPORATION STONEGATE ADDITION - 195.138 ACRES - PLANNED DEVELOPMENT STONEGATE EAST - 6.569 ACRES - PLANNED DEVELOPMENT TROPHY CLUB CENTRE - 26.045 - COMMERCIAL GENERAL Chairman Hamper stated that Pat Adkins, Bass and Sunbelts Planner, asked that a Workshop Meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission prior to P & Z making a recommendation to the Town Council be done first. CONTINUATION OF MINUTES (JANUARY 21, 1988) PAGE 2 Chairman Hamper also stated that he felt that no developers should come before the Planning and Zoning Commission and/or Town Council for consideration until all outstanding invoices have been paid. Mayor Carter opened the Public Hearing to the audience. At this time there was no one in the audience that oranted to comment on the proposals. Commissioner Kemp made a motion to continue the Public Hearing to April 25th, 1988 at 7:00 P.M. Commissioner Schaaf seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Council Member Vance made a motion to continue the Public Hearing to April 25th, 1988 at 7:00 P.M. Mayor Pro Tem Martignago seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. PADIV01011401 Commissioner Kemp made a motion to adjourn the Public Hearing. Commissioner Schaaf seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Council Member Vance made a motion to adjourn the Public Hearing. Council Member Foley seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. MINUTES OF JOINT WORKSHOP MEETING TOWN COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS The Town Council and Planning and Zoning Commission met in Joint Session on Januaury 21st, 1988 at the Municipal Utility District Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas. The meeting was held within the Town boundaries and was open to the Public. RAPAWOKOIRM Mayor Carter called the Joint Workshop Meeting to order at 7:40 P.M. noting that a quorum was present with Town Council and Planning and Zoning Commission. TOWN COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION JOINT WORKSHOP CONCERNING ZONING OF THE FOLLOWING TRACTS OF LAND: A) COMMERCIAL GENERAL (2.106 ACRES) PRIVATE SCHOOL AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE B) COMMERCIAL GENERAL (4.3095 ACRES) REAL ESTATE SALES OFFICE & CABLE TV SERVICES C) COMMERCIAL RECREATIONAL (5.6145 ACRES) RECREATIONAL FACILITIES Discussion ensued on the zoning of the above stated tracts of land. The Town Council and Planning and Zoning Commission agreed to ask Independent American to withdraw there zoning request as submitted and reapply for Planned Development Zoning on all three tracts of land. JOINT WORKSHOP REGARDING AMENDMENTS TO THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 0 87-23 Discussion ensued on possible amendments to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. The Town Council asked that all recommendations on amendments to the Zoning Ordinance be submitted in writting to Mike Hamper, Chairman of P & Z, on or before Februaury 22nd, 1988.
