ZONING COMMISSION
TROPHY CLUB
The Planning and Zoning Commission for the Town of Trophy
Club met in Regular Session on Thursday, November 15th, 1990
at 7:00 P.M. The meeting was held at the Municipal Utility
District Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas.
The meeting was held within the Town boundaries and was open
to the Public.

Chairman Hamper called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M.
noting a quorum was present. He then welcomed the
Commissioners and guests.
COMMISSION TO REVIEW AND CONSIDER MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
HELD 9/20/90, SPECIAL MEETING 10/9/90 AND PUBLIC HEARING
10/15/90
Commissioner Booker made a motion to approve the Minutes of
the Regular Meeting held September 20, 1990 with amendments
discussed. Commissioner Morey seconded the motion. Motion
carried unanimously.
Commissioner Kirby made a motion to approve the Minutes of
the October 9, 1990 Special Meeting as written. Commissioner
Booker seconded the Motion. Motion carried unanimously.

Commissioner Booker made a motion to approve the Minutes of
the Public Hearing held October 15, 1990 as written.
Commissioner Morey seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously.
CONSIDER ADOPTION OF DESIGN STANDARDS OF THE SUB -DIVISION
REGULATIONS
Chairman Hamper mentioned the history of the Sub -Division
Regulations and Design Standards. Mr. BOutWell reported on
the suggested changes in the Sub -Division Regulations and
suggested change in the duplication of items in the Design
Standards.
After a brief discussion, Commissioner Morey made a motion to
recommend to Town Council that they approve the proposed Sub -
Division Regulations as amended and to approve the Design
Standards with the suggested changes. Commissioner Kirby
seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously.
DISCUSS AND CONSIDER THE OFFICIAL POSITION OF PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION REGARDING THE SKYLINE DRIVE ENTRANCE INTO
TROPHY CLUB
Chairman Hamper remarked on the importance of this issue and
would like for most, if not all, of the Commissioners be in
attendance for a discussion and decision on this matter.
Commissioner Booker made a motion to table this item until
the next regular meeting. Commissioner Morey seconded the
motion.- Motion carried unanimously.
DISCUSS AND CONSIDER THE OFFICIAL POSITION OF PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION REGARDING ALTERNATE ENTRANCE INCLUDING THE
TROPHY WOOD DRIVE ENTRANCE TO TROPHY CLUB
Chairman Hamper noted that information was provided to each
Commissioner on the Trophy Wood Drive entrance as well as
information on a northern entrance to Trophy Club. The
Council may look at obtaining a right-of-way from the Corps
of Engineers on a northern entrance.
The first point Chairman Hamper made was the final decision
and design for Trophy Wood Drive will have to conform to the
State Highway Department plans for Highway 114.
The second point is the Trophy Wood Drive entrance will
become the most important entrance to Trophy Club.

After a discussion period, Commissioner Morey made a motion
that the Planning & Zoning Commission support the next
entrance to Trophy Club on the east be Trophy Wood Drive
intersecting at Kirkwood Drive. Commissioner Booker seconded
the motion; motion carried unanimously.
DISCUSS AND CONSIDER A CHANGE IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN &
ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE A FUTURE ENTRANCE AT THE NORTH EAST AREA
OF TROPHY CLUB
After a lengthy discussion, question and answer period,
Commissioner Kirby made a motion that the commission
recommend to the Town Council that the Comprehensive Plan
needs to be modified and the Commission is seeking the
Council's approval to go forward with the modifications.
Commissioner Morey seconded the motion. The motion carried
unanimously.
DISCUSS AND CONSIDER CANCELLATION OF ALL PLANNING AND ZONING
MEETINGS FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, 1990
After a brief discussion, Commissioner Booker made a motion
to cancel all Planning and Zoning Commission meetings for the
month of December, 1990. Commissioner Kirby seconded the
motion. The motion passed by a 3 to 1 vote. Commissioner
Morey voted against.

Commissioner Kirby made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Commissioner Booker seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously.
