TROPHY CLUB
The Planning and Zoning Commission for the Town of Trophy
Club met in Regular Session on Thursday, October 17, 1991 at
7:00 P.M. The meeting was held at the Municipal Utility
District Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas.
The meeting was held within the Town boundaries and was open
to the Public.

Chairman Hamper called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
noting a quorum was present. He then welcomed the
Commissioners and guests.
COMMISSION TO REVIEW AND CONSIDER MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
HELD 9/19/91
Commissioner Williams made a motion to approve the Minutes of
the Regular Meeting held September 19, 1991 as written.
Commissioner Kardish seconded the motion. Motion carried
unanimously.
REVIEW MATERIALS PROVIDED BY TOWN PLANNER, DAN BOUTWELL
Chairman Hamper asked Dan Boutwell to present his outline for
the planning process in updating the Master Comprehensive
Plan for the Town. After the planning process was presented,
Dan then discussed a calendar of events. Chairman Hamper
.stressed the importance of inviting Councilmembers to all
workshops.

After considerable discussion it was the general consensus of
the Commissioners that a questionnaire survey be developed
and mailed to all residents to obtain some input pertinent to
our future plans. Chairman Hamper requested Mr. Boutwell to
go forward in developing a survey in conjunction with the
updating of the Master Comprehensive Plan.
A Planning and Zoning Commission workshop is scheduled for
November 7.
REVIEW ZONING
Chairman Hamper asked Ms. Shaw and Mr. Boutwell to review a
draft zoning map for Trophy Club. They explained the computer
map and a discussion was held regarding the zoning map and
the Comprehensive Zoning ordinance. Chairman Hamper would
like all Commissioners to become familiar with the Zoning
ordinance.
DISCUSS ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES
Chairman Hamper asked Ms. Shaw to explain the administrative
procedures for permitting. As Chairman Hamper promised, he
would provide some new information at each meeting for the
Commissioners.
UPDATE ON CURRENT ACTIVITIES
East Entrance - Chairman Hamper shared the latest information
regarding an East Entrance into Trophy Club. The preliminary
work by the Engineers has been completed and submitted to
Sunbelt Savings.
Natural Gas - A citizen had requested clarification regarding
obtaining natural gas to their property. Chairman Hamper
explained that this was an item for the Council.
P&Z Stand on Signs - Chairman Hamper restated the objective
of the sign ordinance. This ordinance was intended to bring
all signs in Trophy Club into compliance within six months of
the passing of the sign ordinance. The Planning and Zoning
Commission will not make any recommendations for meritorious
exception for any sign.
New Housing Starts - Chairman reported on the new housing
starts (17) and number of other permits (78) issued during
fiscal year 1990-1991.

ADJOURN
There being no further business, Commissioner Kardish made a
motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:05 P.M. Commissioner
Booker seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
