Minutes P&Z 07/21/1994MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB STATE OF TEXAS § § COUNTY OF DENTON § The Planning and Zoning Commission for the Town of Trophy Club met in Regular Session on Thursday, July 21, 1994 at 7:00 P.M. The meeting was held at the Municipal Utility District Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas. The meeting was held within the Town boundaries and was open to the Public. Chairman Hamper called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. noting a quorum was present. He then welcomed the Commissioners, staff and guests. REVIEW AND APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE JOINT MEETING WITH THE ZBA ON MARCH 23, 1994, APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR MEETING JUNE 16, 1994, AND THE MINUTES FROM THE JOINT PUBLIC HEARING JULY 7, 1994 The Commissioners reviewed the minutes from the three meetings. Commissioner Paige made a motion to accept the minutes as presented and reviewed for the joint meeting with the ZBA on March 23, 1994, the June 16, 1994 regular meeting and the joint public hearing on July 7, 1994. Commissioner Cotton seconded; motion passed unanimously. REVIEW STO EXTERIOR INSULATION AND FINISH SYSTEMS PRODUCT AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION Chairman Hamper discussed the product being presented to the Page 2, P&Z Meeting 07/21/94 Commissioners and noted this product has not been approved for use in Trophy Club. Mr. Salyer, Builder, described the product and why it is similar in characteristics to masonry. He then asked Mr. Doug Miller the installer to speak on the product. Mr. Miller described the application process. This product does not crack like stucco does, is HUD approved, and allows R4 insulation. The applicator is certified to apply the product by Sto Industries and he in turn hires qualified plasters. Sto Industries also does on site inspections. The contractor furnishes all material - the material can only be sto products. After the discussion and presentation, Commissioner Paige made a motion to approve the "Sto Industries Product" for use in Trophy Club, with a warranty being issued before final inspection and submittal of the applicator's license when applying for a building permit. Commissioner Schaaf seconded; motion passed unanimously. OTHER BUSINESS The Planning and Zoning Commission will review an ordinance restricting the use of shake or wood shingles when re -roofing is required. All Commissioners are invited to a "Corridor Development" training course on Monday, August 29, 1994. ADJOURN There being no further business, Commissioner Schaaf made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:08 P.M. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Chairman Secretary
