Minutes P&Z 12/05/1996MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF DENTON § The Planning and Zoning Commission for the Town of Trophy Club met in Regular Session on Thursday, December 05, 1996 at 7:00 P.M. The meeting was held at the Municipal Utility District Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas. The meeting was held within the Town boundaries and was open to the Public. Partner Briscoe/Clark Carter & Burgess Vinyl Fence Representative Chairman Hamper called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. noting a quorum was present. He then welcomed Staff and Guests. REVIEW FINAL PLAT FOR PHASE 1 OF THE LAKES OF TROPHY CLUB AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION. Chairman Hamper discussed the thirty day rule regarding the approval of final plats with the developer. Mr. Briscoe waived his right to the thirty day rule (see attached). Mr. Briscoe requested that the right-of-way on Trophy Club Drive be an 80 foot right-of-way to continue the current right-of-way existing instead of a 90 foot right-of-way required in the Town of Trophy Club's Design Standards. A consensus of the Commissioners is to go forward with the 80 foot right-of-way. Page 2, P&Z Mtg. 12/5/96 After a lengthy discussion, Commissioner Reed made a motion to table the final plat for the Lakes until January 16, 1997 and in agreement with the letter from the developer. Commissioner Williams seconded; motion passed unanimously. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO REVIEW INFORMATION REGARDING VINYL FENCING FOR 19 FAIR GREEN DRIVE AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION. Ms. Debbie Grigsby presented the AMS Standards on fencing to the Commissioner's. Chairman Hamper explained that we need all the information to be able to make an intelligent decision. We have just received this information and will need time to review the material. Commissioner Hill made a motion to table this item until the next meeting to give the Commissioners time to review the material. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. ANY OTHER BUSINESS Chairman Hamper explained to the Commissioners the idea or concept for a clock tower at the entrance to Trophy Club. He further noted permission to remove the Gazebo is needed. The clock tower would be erected in its place. There is a consensus of the Commissioners to recommend removal of the Gazebo and allow the placing of an entry feature at that location. There being no further business to discuss, Commissioner Schaaf made a motion to closed the P&Z meeting at 8:40 p.m. Commissioner Hill seconded; motion passed unanimously. This will enable all engineering issues to be addressed by the Town's consultants and resolved by the developer prior to the next Planning and Zoning meeting.
