Minutes P&Z 10/17/1996MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF DENTON § The Planning and Zoning Commission for the Town of Trophy Club met in Regular Session on Thursday, October 17, 1996 at 7:00 P.M. The meeting was held at the Municipal Utility District Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas. The meeting was held within the Town boundaries and was open to the Public. Staff and Guest present were: Pauline Shaw Planning & Zoning Administrator Dan Boutwell Municipal Planning Resources Group, Inc. Chairman Hamper called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. noting a quorum was present. He then welcomed Staff and Guests. Chairman Hamper read Commissioner Paige's resignation letter. The resignation is effective October 17, 1996. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO REVIEW RECENT DRAFT OF THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS. Chairman Hamper and the Commissioners continued their review of the subdivision regulations. Mr. Dan Boutwell hit the high points and defined public hearing and public meeting. Mr. Boutwell will present the final document with illustrations. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO REVIEW FLOW DIAGRAM SHOWING PLAT PROCESS AND ELEMENTS REQUIRED FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC MEETINGS. Chairman Hamper requested Mr. Boutwell to make changes in the "yes" "no" portion of public meeting/hearings diagrams. Page 2, P&Z Mtg. 10/17/96 PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO REVIEW RECENT DRAFT OF SECTIONS 4 AND 5 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE Mr. Boutwell reviewed the zoning changes regarding set backs and garages. The Commissioners felt Dan did a great job. ANY OTHER BUSINESS Chairman Hamper mentioned several items to the Commissioners. They are as follows: 1. The Park Committee would like to build a temporary building for storage. The Planning and Zoning Commissioners would like to see the plans and give input. 2. Gated Community - Council and P&Z will address the issue of, do we need more/do we want more, gated communities. 3. The Planning and Zoning Commissioner will hear a concept of the Professional Office area owned by Oakmont Properties. 4. Councilman Decker would like the P&Z to address the issues of 3000psi for all exposed concrete other then streets. Chairman Hamper discussed the calls he received after the fact on the bank building and the requirements we have made in zoning, ie. Berm in front of bank. On November 7, the P&Z will discuss the split rail fence on Trophy Wood Drive and its compliance with the fence ordinance. The Planning and Zoning Commission is accepting application for Commissioner and will interview all candidates on November 7th. Mr. Boutwell will provide information on the goals and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan on November 7th. /_�Z�Iili► There being no further business to discuss, Commissioner Hill made a motion to closed the P&Z meeting at 9:00 p.m. Commissioner Williams seconded; motion passed unanimously.
