Regarding the parking lot, the Commissioners had some safety concerns and asked the Entry Design Committee to readdress these concerns and bring back to the Planning and Zoning Commission for review. Following discussion with the committee, Commissioner Hill moved to have the Commission recommend to the Town Council endorsement of the entry design concepts for Trophy Club and Trophy Lake Drives and utilization of Town property for its use. Commissioner Williams seconded; motion carried unanimously. (Note: Town Council had already approved used of the median at Trophy Club Drive north of State Highway 114 with Resolution #96-29, dated 12117196.) REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO CONSTRUCT A PARALLEL FENCE AT 6 ROUND ROCK DR. AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION: Mrs. Pauline Shaw, Town staff member, updated the Commission on Mr. John McKay's request for permission to construct a parallel fence at 6 Round Rock Dr. Discussion was held. The Commissioners were very reluctant to allow a parallel fence which would be constructed with different materials then the fence it would parallel, plus the metal fence posts would be approximately 1811 higher than the brick posts used in the original fence. The parallel fence appearance would deter from the look that is being created with the new entry designs. Commissioner Gene Hill stated that furthermore precedence has been set to avoid parallel fencing throughout the town and so stated in the zoning ordinance. Commissioner Williams moved to disapprove the request for parallel fencing at 6 Round Rock Dr. Commissioner Schaaf seconded; motion carried unanimously. DISCUSSION OF OTHER MATTERS THAT MAY COME BEFORE THE COMMISSION: Chairperson Mike Hamper introduced Cathy Morgas as the new Planning and Zoning Administrator. Mr. Hamper also thanked Pauline Shaw for all her hard work and dedication to Planning and Zoning over the last eight years.
