The Planning and Zoning Commission met in a joint public hearing/joint public session with the Town
Council on Tuesday, July 21, 1998. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open
to the public.

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
A. TOWN COUNCIL: Mayor Pro Tem Engelbeck called the meeting to order at 7:16 p.m.
and announced a quorum with Mayor Jim Carter and Council Member Pratt absent.
B. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION: Chairman Hamper called the meeting to
order at 7:16 p.m. and announced a quorum with Commissioner David Schaaf absent.
2. TOWN COUNCIL TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS INSTRUCTION AND DIRECTING THE TOWN STAFF TO TAKE ALL
NECESSARY LEGAL STEPS TO CALL A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING OF THE TOWN
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION AND TOWN COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE
OF REZONING A 9+ ACRE TRACT OF LAND KNOWN AS THE ESTATES OF HOGAN'S
GLEN FROM THE CURRENT PROFESSIONAL OFFICE DISTRICT TO A PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT AND A REPLAT OF A 9.8+ ACRE TRACT OF LAND
KNOWN AS THE VILLAS OF HOGAN'S GLEN; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE:
No action taken.
PUBLIC HEARING
3. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO OPEN JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH
THE TOWN COUNCIL:
Commissioner Hill moved to open the Joint Public Hearing with the Town Council. Commissioner Williams
seconded; motion passed unanimously.
4. TOWN COUNCIL TO OPEN JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH THE PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION:
Council Member Brewster moved to open the joint public hearing with the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Council Member McCabe seconded; motion passed unanimously.
5. TOWN COUNCIL TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING JOINTLY WITH THE
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RELATIVE TO THE FOLLOWING:
A. REQUEST FOR ZONING CHANGE OF FOX POINTE SUBDIVISION (11.589 ACRE
TRACT LOCATED ALONG TW KING RD. IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF
TROPHY CLUB) FROM R-15 DISTRICT TO PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT.
No action taken.
B. TO CONSIDER REQUEST FOR REPLAT OF LOT 1674 FROM SECTION 13 TO
FOX POINT SUBDIVISION.
No action taken.
6. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO CLOSE JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
AND/OR CONTINUE TO A DATE CERTAIN:

Commissioner Hill moved to close the joint Public Hearing with the Town Council. Commissioner Cotton
seconded; motion passed unanimously.
7. TOWN COUNCIL TO CLOSE THE JOINT PUBLIC HEARING AND/OR CONTINUE TO A
DATE CERTAIN.
Council Member Brewster moved to close the joint public hearing. Council Member McCabe seconded;
motion passed unanimously.
8. TOWN COUNCIL/PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO RECONVENE INTO A
JOINT PUBLIC SESSION:
Commissioner Williams moved to reconvene into a joint Public Session with the Town Council.
Commissioner Gilliland seconded; motion passed unanimously.
JOINT SESSION AGENDA
9. TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE P&Z AND TAKE
APPROPRIATE ACTION REGARDING:
A. A ZONING CHANGE FOR FOX POINTE SUBDIVISION (11.589 ACRE TRACT
LOCATED ALONG TW KING RD. IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF TROPHY
CLUB) FROM AN R-15 DISTRICT TO PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT

Commissioner Gilliland moved to recommend approval of the zoning change for Fox Pointe subdivision,
along with the final plat of Fox Pointe subdivision to the Town Council_ Commissioner Cotton seconded;
motion passed unanimously.
Chairman Hamper made the recommendation to the Town Council to approve the zoning change for Fox
Pointe.
Town Council approved the zoning change for Fox Pointe.
B. A FINAL PLAT FOR FOX POINTE SUBDIVISION (11.589 ACRES LOCATED
ALONG TW KING RD. IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF TROPHY CLUB).
Motion to recommend was included with the motion for the zoning change. (prior agenda item)
Chairman Hamper made a recommendation to the Town Council to approve the final plat for Fox Pointe
Subdivision.
Town Council approved the final plat for the Fox Pointe Subdivision.
C. A REPLAT OF LOT 1674 FROM SECTION 13 TO THE FOX POINTE
SUBDIVISION.
Commissioner Hill moved to recommend for approval the replat of lot 1674, section 13 to the Fox Pointe
subdivision. Commissioner Reed seconded; motion passed unanimously.

Chairman Hamper made a recommendation to the Town Council to approve the replat of lot 1674, Section 13
to the Fox Pointe Subdivision.
Town Council approved the replat of lot 1674, Section 13 to the Fox Pointe Subdivision.
10. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO ADJOURN JOINT PUBLIC SESSION WITH
TOWN COUNCIL:
Commissioner Hill moved to adjourn the joint Public Session with the Town Council at 7:36 p.m.
Commissioner Williams seconded; motion passed unanimously.
11. TOWN COUNCIL TO ADJOURN JOINT SESSION WITH THE PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION.
Council Member McCabe moved to adjourn the joint session at 7:37 pm with the Planning & Zoning
Commission. Council Member Carr seconded; motion passed unanimously,
