The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in a Special
Session/Workshop Session on March 30, 1998 at 7:00 P.M. in the Board Room, Tro
Administration Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas 76262. phy Club

Chairperson Mike Hamper called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. announcing a quorum was
present.
DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION REGARDING ACTION TAKEN AT THE
REGULAR SESSION ON NIARCH 19, 1998, TO ADDRESS P&Z CONCERNS TO THE
TONVN COUNCIL:
Chairman Hamper updated the Commission on the current status of the garage sale issues.
In the discussion that followed the Commission asked Ms. Morgas

il Agenda for April 7, 1998 regarding the garage sale issue.
Following discussion, Commissioner Williams moved, due to the apparent violation of the
Zoning Ordinance by the Town Council, the P&Z strongly recommends to the Council that the
Council rescind and withdraw and not issue any administrative permit allowing any garage sales
until a legal opinion can be obtained from the City Attorney which clarifies the results of any
garage sale within the Town. Director Reed seconded; motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURN SPECIAL SESSION:
Commissioner Reed moved to adjourn the special session at 7:53 p.m. Commissioner
seconded; motion passed unanimously. Cotton

The Commission convened into a Workshop session at 7:54 p.m.
The Commissioners discussed changes to Sections 1-42 in the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
#94-09. Their discussion is to be continued at the April 16, 1998, meeting.
OTHER MATTERS:
Cathy Morgas, P&Z Administrator discussed with the Commissioners about having
appointments for alternating two (2) year terms for both the P&Z and the ZBA added to the
zoning ordinance.
The next meeting will be April 16, 1998.
There being no further business, Commissioner Hill moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:03 p.m.
Commissioner Reed seconded; motion carried unanimously.
