PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
September 3, 1998
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in a Regular Session on
September 3, 1998 at 7:00 P.M. in the Boardroom of the Trophy Club Administration Building, 100
Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas 76262.

1. CALL. TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM.
Chairman Mike Hamper called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m. announcing a quorum was present.
2. DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION REGARDING THE HIKE AND BIKE
TRAILS:
Discussion was led by Barry Hudson, AICP, Municipal Planning Resources Group.
Goals:
1. Schools:
• RECOMMENDATION: to go out one (1) mile to retrofit pathways.
• One (1) lane traffic & one (1) lane safety zone, patrolled area, signage at appropriate
distance/appropriate times.
• Provide a shuttle bus in the area that the school busing does not cover.
2. Linear Facilities:
• RECOMMENDATION: to cut from Indian Creek (Hogan's Glen) to follow creek to 114 -- then east to
the Plantation Apartments — then to the Plaza.
Also discussed was the removal of the retrofit concept along Indian Creek Drive and to remove the striped
pathways.

Following all discussions, Commissioner Williams moved to recommend to the Town Council to adopt
the Pathways Study. Commissioner Gilliland seconded; motion passed unanimously.
3. OTHER MATTERS:
There being no other matters to discuss;
4. ADJOURN:
Commissioner Williams moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:56 p.m. Commissioner Gilliland seconded;
motion passed unanimously.
