18, November 1999
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in a regular
session on November 18 , 1999, at 6:00 P.M. in the Boardroom of the Trophy Club
Administration Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas 76262.

Chairman Mike Hamper called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. announcing a quorum
was present. Chairman Hamper noted that Chairman Reed had received an excused
absence.
2. DISCUSSION AND REVIEW OF PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE COMPREHENSIVE
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 98-29, (APPLICANT TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB).
The following changes were made:
Article 2, Section 10 — General Definitions: Height shall mean , when referring to the height
of a building portion thereof, the vertical distance measured from the average established grade
at the exterior surface of the structure measured a maximum of four (4) feet from the exterior
surface of the structure.
SECTION 35 —ACCESSORY STRUCTURES 1. Permitted Accessory Structures c.6.
Delete utility building.
SECTION 35 — ACCESSORY STRUCTURES 1. Permitted Accessory Structures: a.
Accessory structures 120 sq. feet or greater shall require site plan approval by the Town
Council upon recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
SECTION 35 — ACCESSORY STRUCTURES: C. Prohibited Structures: 4 Free standing
structures 8 feet in height. It was specifically noted that this does not apply to play equipment.

SECTION 38- PROJECTIONS INTO REQUIRED YARDS E. Any Fence, Wall, Hedge,
Shrubbery, Etc.: Delete entire section.
SECTION 46 — TREE PRESERVATION C. Tree Preservation Permit Required: No person,
directly or indirectly, shall cut down, destroy or move, effectively destroy through damaging any
6 inch caliper tree or larger, 7 feet in height, specimen tree or historic tree, situated on property
described above without first obtaining a tree permit.
SECTION 46 — TREE PRESERVATION F. Tree Removal 1. No tree or trees 6 caliper inches
or greater, 7 feet in height, shall be removed prior to the issuance of building permits unless one
of the following conditions exist:

4. REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONERS, OTHER MATTERS.
Planning Consultant, Dan Boutwell updated the Commission on the closure of Kirkwood Blvd.
Chairman Hamper noted that the Town Council appointed the Planning & Zoning Commission at
the November 16, 1999 meeting.

Chairman Hamper adjourned the meeting at 7:49 p.m. on November 18, 1999.
