The Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in a
Regular Session on 2 May 2002, at 7:00 pm in the Boardroom of the Trophy Club
Administration Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Trophy Club, Texas 76262.

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM.
Chairman Hill called the meeting to order at 7:06 pm, and announced a quorum was
present.
2. PRESENTATION, DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATIVE TO A PROPOSAL
FOR A PD -PLANNED DEVELOPMENT ON A 4.2821 ACRE TRACT OF LAND CURRENTLY
ZONED PO -PROFESSIONAL OFFICE, AND LOCATED GENERALLY TO THE NORTH OF
STATE HIGHWAY 114, EAST OF GLEN EAGLES COURT AND WEST OF THE PLANTATION
APARTMENTS. (APPLICANT: LAKE CITIES CHURCH OF CHRIST)
Chairman Hill informed the Commission that this item would not be discussed. The
applicant failed to submit their backup information by the deadline.
3. PRESENTATION, DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATIVE TO THE
PROPOSED REQUEST FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE SIGNAGE CRITERIA FOR PD -13,
THE VILLAGE @ TROPHY CLUB, TRACT 4. (APPLICANT: DFW SIGNS)
Ms. Jackson addressed the Commission.

Modifications were made to the signage proposal. This item will be on the Commissions
16 May 2002 Public Hearing & Regular Session agenda.
4. PRESENTATION, DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATIVE TO REQUEST FOR
AN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE PERMIT, LOCATED AT 800 TROPHY CLUB DRIVE.
(APPLICANT: FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF TROPHY CLUB)
A. BASKETBALL COURT
A motion was made to recommend approval of the request for an accessory structure
with the elimination of the lighting detail.

5. PRESENTATION, AND DISCUSSION RELATIVE TO THE PROPOSED OUTDOOR
WARNING SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN
OF TROPHY CLUB. (PRESENTOR: BRYAN PHILLIPS, FIRE INSPECTOR)
Mr. Phillips updated the Commission on the status of the system.
6. DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATIVE TO A RECOMMENDATION TO
THE TOWN COUNCIL FOR THE TERM RENEWALS OF THREE PLANNING & ZONING
COMMISSION SEATS.
A motion was made to recommend the renewal of the terms for Commissioner Ashby,
Commissioner Sheridan and Commissioner Stephens.

The Planning & Zoning Commission convened into Executive Session at 7:38 pm.

8. PURSUANT TO TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE ANNOTATED SUBCHAPTER 551
SECTION 551.071(2) CONSULTATION WITH TOWN ATTORNEY ON A MATTER IN
WHICH THE DUTY OF THE ATTORNEY TO THE GOVERNMENTAL BODY UNDER THE
DISCIPLINARY RULES OF PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF THE STATE BAR OF TEXAS
CLEARLY CONFLICT WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS ACT:
(A) LEGAL ADVICE RELATIVE TO ENFORCEMENT AND OTHER ISSUES RELATED TO
THE FENCE ORDINANCE.
9. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION TO RECONVENE INTO REGULAR SESSION.
The Planning & Zoning Commission reconvened into Regular Session at 9:12 pm.
REGULAR SESSION
10. DISCUSSION AND APPROPRIATE ACTION RELATIVE TO THE PROPOSED REVISIONS TO
THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB FENCE ORDINANCE NO. 2000-17 ESTABLISHING THE
COMPREHENSIVE REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CONSTRUCTION; REGULATIONS,
AND PERMITTING OFFENCES. (AMD -01-010)
The Commission instructed staff to make the changes discussed in Executive Session to
the Fence Ordinance.
11. ADJOURNMENT:
Chairman Hill adjourned the meeting at approximately 9:15 pm.
