FOR THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB

The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met on Thursday,
August 22, 2013. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM.
Chairman Timothy Gamache called the meeting to order and announced a quorum at 7:00 p.m.
1. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the Trophy Club Crime Control and Prevention
District Board Minutes dated June 21, 2013.
Chairman Timothy Gamache called for a review of the Minutes of the June 21, 2013 meeting of the
Crime Control and Prevention District; the Minutes were reviewed and a motion was made to accept
the Minutes, as presented, by Board Member J.J. Isherwood; motion seconded by Board Member
Dena Boudreau. Motion approved by a vote of 4-0.
2. Conduct interviews of the prospective candidates for the vacant Crime Control Prevention
District Board position: 1. Patrick Arata, 2. Mark A. Chapman and 3. Scott Spooner.
Chairman Timothy Gamache called for a motion to change the order of the candidate interviews to
accommodate the candidates' evening schedules, interviewing Mark A. Chapman first, followed by
Patrick Arata and Scott Spooner; so moved by Vice Chairman Dena Boudreau; motion seconded by
Board Member Adam Broyles. Motion approved by a vote of 4-0.
Chairman Timothy Gamache introduced each prospective candidate to the CCPD Board members
and explained the purpose, goals and priorities of the CCPD Board. Each candidate was interviewed
regarding their background and experience and their reasons for desiring a position on the CCPD
Board.
Discussion of the qualifications of each candidate followed the interviews; all three candidates had
outstanding credentials. Chairman Timothy Gamache moved for a vote and selection of the preferred
candidate for the vacant CCPD Board position; Patrick Arata was selected as the preferred candidate
for presentation to Town Council for approval; so moved by Board Member Adam Broyles and
seconded by Vice Chairman Dena Boudreau. Motion approved by a vote of 4-0.
Candidates Scott Spooner and Mark A. Chapman will be considered for future vacancies on the
CCPD Board.
ADJOURN
Vice Chairman Dena Boudreau made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m.; motion seconded by
Board Member Adam Broyles. Motion approved by a vote of 4-0.
The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
