AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS, AMENDING
THE TOWN'S CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REVISING THE NUMBER OF
REGULAR AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS ON THE TOWN ETHICS REVIEW
COMMISSION AND APPOINTMENT THERETO AND FURTHER REVISING
QUORUM REQUIREMENTS FOR SAID COMMISSION; ESTABLISHING THE
SEVERABILITY OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR ANY CONFLICTING
PROVISIONS; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS
ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,TEXAS:
ARTICLE I. CODE AMENDED
That from and after the effective date of this ordinance, section 1.05.006 of the Town
of trophy Club Code of Ordinances shall be amended in part to read as follows:
-Subsection (a) shall read as follows:
(a) Established. An ethics review commission (commission) is hereby established
to be composed of five (5) members and two (2) alternate members, all of whom
shall reside in the town and shall be appointed by majority vote of the town
council.
-Subsection (b) shall read as follows:
(b) Appointment to positions. Each commission member shall occupy a position
on the commission, such positions being numbered 1 through 5.
-Subsection (f) shall read as follows:
(f) Quorum. Four (4) members of the commission shall constitute a quorum,
and no action of the commission shall be of any force or effect unless it is
adopted by the favorable vote of three (3)or more members.
ARTICLE II. SEVERABILITY OF ORDINANCE
That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the Town Council that the sections,
paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this Ordinance hereby adopted are
severable and, if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section shall be declared
unconstitutional by the valid judgment of any court of competent jurisdiction, such

unconstitutionality shall not effect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences,
paragraphs, or sections, since the same would have been enacted by the Town Council
without the incorporation of any unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph,
or section.
ARTICLE 111. CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such
conflict, hereby repealed.
ARTICLE IV. EFFECTIVE DATE
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
