FOR THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB

The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Regular
Session on February 12, 2020. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open
to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Chairman JJ Isherwood called the meeting to order and announced a quorum at 6:00 p.m.

REGULAR SESSION
1. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the Crime Control and Prevention
District Board Minutes for November 13, 2019 (Staff).
Chairman JJ Isherwood called for a review of the minutes of the November 13, 2019
Meeting of the Crime Control and Prevention District. The minutes were reviewed and a
motion was made by JJ Isherwood to accept [or table] the November 13, 2019 minutes as
presented. Motion seconded by Board Member Leo Daniels.
Motion approved by a vote of 7-0.
2. Receive City Protect Demo (Staff).
Chief Arata provided an overview of the City Protect software and then a live demonstration.
The City Protect software is a visual depiction of the police statistics. The program marks the
general area of an event or incident on the map of the Town. Chief Arata informed the Board
Members that this software is available to the residence of Trophy Club now on the Police
Departments website.
3. Receive a Police Department update (Staff).
Chief Arata briefed the Board Members on the following items:
• The Police Department now has a Public Information Officer who will be posting on the
PD Social Media sites.
• The PD has applied for a U.S. Department of Justice Grant that would allow the PD to
hire a juvenile detective. The grant covers 100% of the position cost for 3 years.

Board Member JJ Isherwood made a motion to adjourn at 6:30 p.m. Motion seconded by Board
Member Joe Tellez.
