CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
PUBLIC COMMENTS
This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter. The Board is not
permitted to discuss or take action on any presentations made to the
Board. Presentations are limited to matters over which the Board has
authority. Speakers have up to four (4) minutes or the time limit determined by the
presiding officer. Each speaker must complete the Speaker’s Form that includes the
topic(s) to be presented. You may also email parata@trophyclub.org
REGULAR SESSION
1.Consider and take action to appoint the CCPD Chair and Vice Chairperson.
2.Take appropriate action regarding the Trophy Club Crime Control and Prevention District
Board Minutes for July 17, 2023.
3.Discuss future programs, items and make recommendations.
4.Receive Police Department update.
ADJOURN
The Board may convene into executive session to discuss posted items as allowed by
the Texas Open Meeting Act, LGC.551.071.
Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Town of Trophy Club Town Council may be in
attendance at this meeting. The Town Council will not deliberate or take any action.

BOARD OF THE CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT MEETING
FOR THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB

The Crime Control and Prevention District Board of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Regular
Session on Monday, July 17, 2023. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was
open to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM
Chairman Leo Daniels called the meeting to order and announced a quorum at 6:00 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
Citizens are allowed four (4) minutes to address the Board regarding an item over which the Board has
policy or oversight authority as provided by Texas law, the ethics order, or other policy order.
Chairman Daniels asked if anyone wished to address the Board.
Jennifer Olson from 340 Inverness Drive chose to make comments; no one else addressed the Board.
REGULAR SESSION
1. Consider and take appropriate action regarding the Crime Control and Prevention
District Board Minutes for May 23, 2023.
Chairman Daniels called for a review of the May 23, 2023 minutes of the Crime Control and
Prevention District. The minutes were reviewed, and a motion made by Fred Lohmann to accept
the minutes as presented. Motion seconded by Board Member Joe Tellez.
Motion approved by a vote of 7-0.
2. Call for a discussion of the Trophy Club Crime Control and Prevention District FY 2023-2024
budget.
Chief Arata discussed budget items, which included:
a) TruNarc – Laser drug analyzer
b) Flock Camera Contract
c) Patrol Units
d) Uplifting Units
e) K-9 Indy
Fred Lohmann made motion to approve the budget; Marc Bartels seconded motion.
Motion approved by vote 7-0.
ADJOURN
Board Member Leo Daniels made a motion to adjourn at 6:32 p.m. Motion seconded by Board Member
Fred Lohmann.
