The Town Council met in Special Session on Monday, May 16th, 1988 at the
location for the Trophy Club Park Site. The meeting was held within the
boundaries of the Town and was open to the Public.

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
INVOCATION
Mayor Pro Tem Vance gave the Invocation.
Mayor Carter introduced John Sheller who is Chairman of the Parks and Recreation
Committee. Mayor Carter presented Mr. Sheller with a plaque from the Town
acknowledging his work in securing the matching funds from the State for
the park and helping prepare the plans.
Mr. Sheller acknowledged Bob Paige who came up with the idea to seek matching
funds from the State. Mr. Sheller also thanked Ed Snider of Independent American,
Vance Booker, John Mayall, Larry Schwab, Terry Vance, Mayor -_Carter and Aldo
Martignago.
Mayor Carter introduced Ed Snider, President of Independent American Phase II.
Mr. Snider thanked everyone for their support on the park project. Mr. Snider
then presented Mayor Carter with a deed for 3.2 acres and a deed for 10 acres
to be used for the park site.
Mayor Pro Tem Vance made a motion to accept the deeds to the land, Council
Member Doran seconded, motion carried unanimously.

Mayor Carter introduced Mr. Craig Curry of the Nelson Corporation. Mr. Curry
presented a rendering of the park. The Council thanked Mr. Curry for all of
his help on the park project.
TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 CONCERNING STREET REPAIRS
Council Member Doran stated that he would like for the Public Works Committee
to review the change order. The Council did not receive a copy of the change
order before the meeting and was not familiar with the material.
Council Member Doran made a motion to table the discussion on the change order
until the May 23rd meeting, Council Member Martignago seconded, motion carried
unanimously.

Mayor Pro Tem Vance made a motion to adjourn, Council Member Martignago seconded,
motion carried unanimously.
