PRESENTATIONS BY CITIZENS
PRESENTATIONS BY COUNCIL
Council Member Doran suggested moving the Town Council
meeting night to the second and fourth Tuesday of the month.
The general consensus of the Council was to move the meeting
dates. He also reported that Parmount had signed an agreement
to repair the streets in certain areas. Council Member Doran
reported to the Council that the Public Works Committee would
like to add Steve Sanders to their committee. This item will
be addressed in Executive Session.
Mayor Pro Tem Vance reported that the Mayor had received a
letter from the State extending the park project date to
August 1, 1989 as requested by the Town and final
consideration of the amendment is contingent upon the
Town executing a contract for construction. The letter from
the State also pointed out that additional revisions and
extensions will not be permitted.
Mayor Pro Tem Vance made a motion to authorize the Mayor to
sign the letter of extension on the park project as sent by
the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Council Member Foley
seconded, motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Carter pointed out that throughout the matching grant
program the park has been referred to as Trophy Club Park.
Mayor Carter suggested calling the park "Volunteer Park" due
to the fact that much of the work in the Town has been done
by volunteer's. The general consensus of the Council was to
address this in the newsletter and have residents make
suggestions as to the official name of the park.

Council Member Hallgren reported that she had noticed a swing
set placed very close to Indian Creek Drive. She stated that
the Council might want to address corner lots, facing on a
side street when the side lot is part of a major thoroughfare
such as Indian Creek and Trophy Club Drive. The general
consensus of the Council and P & Z Chairman Mike Hamper was
that regulating fences along side yards that face major
streets and what residents can place on those side yards
would be too restrictive.
STAFF REPORTS
The staff reports are filed with the minutes of this meeting.
Council member Foley made a motion to approve the financial
report as presented, Council Member Hallgren seconded, motion
carried unanimously.
VARIANCE: MR. GREG BYERLY TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL CONCERNING

TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PUBLIC
WORKS COMMITTEE TO INSTALL A STREET LIGHT AT THE CORNER OF

It had been brought to the Council's attention that this
corner was used as a bus stop and there was no street light
on this particular corner. The area is very dark and
residents feel it is a safety hazard.
Council Member Doran made a motion to have a street light
installed at the northeast corner of Forest Hill and
Inverness, Mayor Pro Tem Vance seconded, motion carried
unanimously.
