The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club met in special
session on August 2, 1990 at the Municipal Utility District
Building. The meeting was held within the Town limits and was
open to the Public.

Mayor Carter called the meeting to order at 7:0{) p.m.
INVOCATION
Council Member Vance gave the Invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Pro Tem Doran led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: TOWN COUNCIL TO RECESS INTO EXECUTIVE
SESSION TO DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING AGENDA ITEM:
A) TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER HIRING A CHIEF OF POLICE.
The Council asked Mr. Doug GIaspell° Chairman of the Public
Safety Committee and member of the Selection Committee to
attend Executive Session.
OPEN SESSION: Mayor Carter announced that the Council
interviewed Mr. Don Franklin of LeveIand, Texas for the
position of Chief of Police.

The Town Council thanked the selection committee for the
admirable job they had done on the extensive search for a
Chief of Police.
Council Member EngeIbe+ck made a motion to hire Mr. Don
Franklin as Chief of Police. Council Member Hill seconded,
motion carried unanimously.

Sylvia seconded, motion carried unanimously.
