The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club met in special
session on Saturday, January 19th. The meeting was held
within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the Public.

Mayor Carter called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m.
INVOCATION
Council Member Vance gave the Invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Treasurer Jack Jacobs led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING THE CABLE
FRANCHISE TO "COUNTY LIMITED PARTNERSHIP", D/B/A/ PLANNED
CABLE SYSTEMS.
Mayor Pro Tem Doran made a motion to approve the Resolution
of the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club approving a
change of name in which the cable franchise is held. Council
Member Engelbeck seconded, motion carried unanimously.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: TOWN COUNCIL TO CONDUCT A CLOSED -DOOR
EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS PERSONNEL MATTERS PURSUANT TO
VERNON'S ANNOTATED TEXAS CIVIL STATUTE ARTICLE 6252-17,
SUBSECTION 2(g).
The Council adjourned into Executive Session at 8:13 a.m.

OPEN SESSION: TOWN COUNCIL TO CONVENE IN OPEN SESSION TO TAKE
ANY NECESSARY ACTION ON THE MATTERS DISCUSSED IN EXECUTIVE
SESSION.
Mayor Pro Tem Doran made a motion to appoint the following
members to the East Entrance Task Force:
David Schaaf Neil Godbey
Joe Thomas Steve Murdough
Bennie Cleveland
Council Member Sylvia seconded, motion carried unanimously.
Council Member Engelbeck stated that he would like to make a
statement:
"I feel this Town has gone through a lot of trauma and I
think it's interesting to note the people on Skyline Drive
who strongly opposed the unofficial entrance out there have
not volunteered to serve on this committee. This shows me
they want to be part of the problem, not part of the
solution".
ADJOURN
Council Member Vance made a motion to adjourn, Council Member
Sylvia seconded, motion carried unanimously.
