COUNTY OF DENTON
The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in
regular session on Thursday, September 24, 1992. The meeting
was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to
the public.

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Pro Tem Hill called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
INVOCATION

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Police Chief Don Franklin led in the pledges of allegiance to
the American and Texas flags.
CONSENT AGENDA
The next order of business was for the Town Council to
consider the consent agenda items which were deemed to need
little deliberation and were acted upon as one business item.
As no one wished to remove any item, Council Member Glaspell
made a motion to approve the consent agenda; Councilman Moore
seconded. Motion carried with Council Member Engelbeck
abstaining as he had been unable to attend the September 10,
1992 meeting.

Approved items are as follows:
A. Minutes of the August 18, 1992 workshop/meeting.
B. Minutes of the September 10, 1992 public hearing on the
budget.
PRESENTATIONS BY CITIZENS.
There were no presentations by citizens.
STAFF AND COMMITTEE REPORTS.
Town Manager Welsh informed the Council that Trophy Club had
participated in Denton County Day and had talked with several
developers. Ms. Welsh felt that it had been a successful
event.
Ms. Pauline Shaw, Director of Public Works stated that the
base portion of the street repair contract was almost
complete.
Town Attorney, John Hill, stated that there were no new
developments on the East Entrance project.
PRESENTATIONS BY COUNCIL.

TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER APPROVING AN ANIMAL CONTROL CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB AND THE CITY OF KELLER.
Mayor Carter made several comments and suggestions concerning
the contract. Mr. John Hill had brought with him a revised
contract that addressed the Mayor's concerns. Council Member
Hill made a motion to approve the new draft of the animal
control contract with Keller. Council Member Moore seconded;
motion passed unanimously.
TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER APPROVING A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND
ADOPTING AN ANIMAL CONTROL CONTRACT BETWEEN THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB AND THE CITY OF KELLER AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT.
Councilman Hill made a motion to approve the resolution
adopting the animal control contract with Keller; Council
Member Glaspell seconded; motion carried unanimously.

TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER THE AUGUST FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.
After a brief discussion of several items on the statements
that needed to be explained or adjusted, Councilman Hill made
a motion to approve the amended financial statements for
August; Councilman Glaspell seconded; motion carried
unanimously.
ADJOURN
There being no further business, Council Member Hill made a
motion to adjourn. Councilman Glaspell seconded; motion
carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:27 p.m.
