Minutes TC 09/30/1992MINUTES OF TOWN COUNCIL MEETING TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DENTON The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in special session on Wednesday, September 30, 1992. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the Public. Jim Carter Gene Hill Marshall Engelbeck Doug Glaspell Cotton Moore Patti Stoltz Town staff members present; Donna Welsh Pauline Shaw CALL TO ORDER Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Council Member Council Member Council member Council Member Town Manager Director of Public works Mayor Carter called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m. INVOCATION An Invocation was given by Council Member Moore. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE AMERICAN AND TEXAS FLAGS The pledge of allegiance to the American and Texas Flags was led by Director of Public Works, Pauline Shaw. TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER, AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION ON, AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND LEVYING MUNICIPAL AD VALOREM TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1992 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1993, AND FOR EACH FISCAL YEAR THEREAFTER UNTIL OTHERWISE PROVIDED, AT A RATE or $moi PER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) ASSESSED VALUATION ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN AS OF JANUARY 1, 1992. Mayor Pro Tem Hill made a motion to approve ordinance 92-19 fixing and levying municipal ad valorem taxes for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1992 and ending September 30, 1993 at the rate of $.3361 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation. Council Member Glaspell seconded; motion passed unanimously. Page 2, Council Meeting, 9/30/92 TOWN COUNCIL T1%' -j CONSIDER APPROVING A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING T THE NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENT'S POLICY T POSITION ON PURSUING A DECENTRALIZED VEHICLE INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAM Mayor Carter explained the purpose of supporting the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NTC -OG) Policy Position on Decentralized Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Program. The Texas AirControlBoard proposed one centralized location Which, would be a burden on Trophy Club's residents. After a brief discussion period, Mayor Pro Tem Hill made a motiontoapprove the resolution 924.-09 in support of North Central Texas Council of Governments Policy Position on Decentralized Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Program as amended. Council member Moore seconded; motion carried unanimous.L I Y. ADJOURN Hili made a motion to ng at Mayor Pro Tem H1 1 adjourn the meeting 7:10 a.m., and to meet again on October 29, 1992.
