The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in
regular session on Tuesday, May 4, 1993. The meeting was held
within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the Public.

CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Carter called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.
INVOCATION
An Invocation was given by Dr. Jimmy McLeod, Chaplain for the
Trophy Club Fire Department.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE AMERICAN AND TEXAS FLAGS
The pledge of allegiance to the American and Texas Flags was
led by Gary Tomlin with TROPHY TALES.

TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING THE 1993
ELECTION RETURNS AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.
Mayor Carter recognized Mrs. Pat Blauvelt and Mrs. Pepper
Slusar for the nine years of being the voting judges for
Trophy Club.
Mayor Carter also recognized Mr. Tom McMurray, running for
County Commissioner from Precinct 2 and Judge Cunningham of
Precinct 4 Place 1.
A copy of the "Order Declaring Result of City Officers'
Election" is attached to these minutes.
Council Member Hill made a motion to approve the canvass as
presented by Mayor Carter, Council Member Stoltz seconded,
motion carried unanimously.

JUDGE CUNNINGHAM TO ADMINISTER THE OATH OF OFFICE TO THE
INCOMING MAYOR AND COUNCIL.
Judge Cunningham administered the "Statement of Elected
Officers Oath" to the newly elected officials.
PRESENTATIONS BY CITIZENS TO INCOMING COUNCIL
There were no presentations by citizens.

Mayor Carter complemented Council Member Moore, Council
Member Glaspell and Mrs. Webster for well run campaigns.
Council Member Hill stated his appreciation to the three
citizens who stood for election in the race and congratulated
the winners.
RECESS: Was waived.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
The Town Council adjourned into Executive Session at 7:16
p.m. to consider:

A. Town Council to Consider The Office of Mayor Pro Tem
OPEN SESSION
Council reconvened into open session at 7:20 p.m.
Council Member Glaspell made a motion to nominate Council
Member Hill for Mayor Pro Tem. Council Member Moore seconded;
motion approved. Council Member Hill abstained.
WORKSHOP: TOWN COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO
REVIEW DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES.
Mayor Carter noted Officer Gene Parker, of the Trophy Club
Police Department, delivered a baby boy at Deli -Mart the
previous evening. The baby weighed 6 lbs. and 13 oz.
Mayor Carter then opened the workshop by reviewing the goals
and objectives of the Town. A spirited discussion ensued.
ADJOURN
Mayor Pro Tem Hill made a motion to adjourn the meeting at
8:16 p.m. Council Member Glaspell seconded, motion carried
unanimously.
