The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in a regular session and budget workshop on Tuesday,
August 29, 2000. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
Mayor Engelbeck called the Workshop session to order at 6:30 p.m. noting a quorum was present.
BUDGET WORKSHOP WITH WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS FISCAL YEAR 2000/2001:
Town Council discussed the budget for fiscal year 2000/2001.
Council Member Smith asked how the $272,000 would be spent on road repairs. Bill LeGrand answered that curb
and joint repair from Riviera working towards the east to Lee Court.
Paul Rosenberger gave information regarding the park grant, we were not awarded the grant, but we did have a high
score and we could have scored higher if we had attached the grant to wetlands.
ADJOURN WORKSHOP SESSION:
Mayor Engelbeck adjourned the Workshop at 6:53 p.m.

Mayor Engelbeck called the Public Hearing to order at 7:30 p.m. noting a quorum was present.
INVOCATION: Council Member Tweedie gave the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE AMERICAN AND FLAG: Richard Hobday led the pledges.
CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS: THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CITIZENS TO ADDRESS THE
COUNCIL ON ANY MATTER WHETHER OR NOT IT IS POSTED ON THE AGENDA. THE COUNCIL
IS NOT PERMITTED TO TAKE ACTION ON ANY PRESENTATION MADE TO THE COUNCIL AT TRIS
TIME CONCERNING AN ITEM NOT LISTED ON THE AGENDA. THE COUNCIL WILL HEAR
PRESENTATION ON SPECIFIC AGENDA ITEMS PRIOR TO THE COUNCIL ADDRESSING THOSE
ITEMS:
TOWN COUNCIL TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER
1, 2000 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2001:
Fred Schneider of 123 Carnoustie, Jim Schorey of 3 Valley Wood Court, Lynn Hale of 18 Sonora Drive and Billy
Hughes of 216 Inverness Drive addressed the Council.
TOWN COUNCIL TO CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING:
Mayor Pro Tem Edstrom made a motion to close the Public Hearing. Council Member Matthai seconded, motion
carried unanimously.

Mayor Engelbeck called the Special Meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. noting a quorum was present.

TOWN COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND ADOPT ORDINANCE FOR THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR
OCTOBER 1, 2000 TO SEPTEMBER 30,2001:
Council Member Tweedie wants us to very clearly explain to the residents what we are doing on the MUD bill.
Council Member Smith stated that the transfer of the trash payment would be for major street repairs. Council
Member Huizenga proposed that we start next year with this year's budget and continue working toward the park
grant and road repairs.
Donna Welsh reported that the $222,000 is a dedicated line item for street repair. The only bond payment is an I/S
bond that is six -years -old. There are no new bond payments in this budget. This is year three of a three-year plan
and this year the Fire Department would be working with three on a shift. There have been six Workshops and a
Public Hearing, the budget has been on file for public viewing. The purpose of a hearing is to receive input from
residents.
The Public Hearing for the Tax Rate will be September 12'h, 2000 at 6:00 p.m.
Mayor Pro Tem Edstrom made a motion to approve and adopt Ordinance for the budget for fiscal year October 2,
2000 to September 30, 2001. Council Member Huizenga seconded, motion carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Pro Edstrom made a motion to adjourn at 7:58 p.m. Council Member Smith seconded, motion carried
unanimously.
