The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas met in workshop on Wednesday, July 26, 2000.
The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM:
INVOCATION: Director Miller gave the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE AMERICAN AND TEXAS FLAG: Paul Rosenberger led the
pledges.
Mayor Engelbeck called the Workshop session to order at 7:30 p.m. noting a quorum was present.
BUDGET WORKSHOP WITH WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE TO DISCUSS FISCAL YEAR
2000/2001:
Mayor Engelbeck introduced the budget and stated that after the Bond Election, he asked the staff to
identify a five percent cut to each department budget.
Donna Welsh made a presentation of the budget for fiscal year 2000-2001.
Mayor Engelbeck stated for the record that the Council has told the kids for the last two years that we
would provide Parks and Baseball Fields for them as soon as possible.

Jim Buxton stated for the record that billing for trash to be paid by advalorem taxes is wrong.
The Council identified the following adjustments to the budget:
• Will bill residents for trash service on MUD water bills.
• Council directed staff to dedicate trash collection money for street repairs.
• Cut median flower plantings from three times a year to two times a year. (A $6,000 cut)
• Cut Arts Council (A$2,000 cut)
• Cut Consultants fee for outside landscape consultant (A $3,000 cut)
• Cut a portion of Corp Property (A $20,000 cut)
• Cut a portion of Town Planner funds (A $4,000 cut)
ADJOURN WORKSHOP SESSION:
Mayor Engelbeck adjourned the meeting with a Council consensus at 9:50 p.m.
