The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Special Session on Monday, August 26,
2002. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the public.

CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM.
Mayor Smith called the special session to order at 7:07 p.m., noting a quorum was present.
INVOCATION.
Pearl Ford gave the invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE AMERICAN FLAG.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE TEXAS FLAG.
"Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas one and indivisible."
Dwight Morrow led the pledges.

Council convened into Public Hearing at 7:10 p.m.
PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN COUNCIL TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO THE FOLLOWING:
TOWN COUNCIL TO DISCUSS AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION REGARDING THE
BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR OCTOBER 1, 2002 TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2003.
Roger Unger gave an overview of the projected revenues and expenditures for the budget for Fiscal Year
2002/2003.
Pearl O. Ford 2 Spring Creek Court addressed the Council.

Council closed public hearing at 8:52 p.m.
TOWN COUNCIL TO RECONVENE INTO REGULAR SESSION
Council convened into Special Session at 8:52 p.m.
SPECIAL SESSION
TOWN COUNCIL TO CONSIDER AND ADOPT AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF
TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS ADOPTING AND APPROVING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2002 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2003, AND MAKING
APPROPRIATIONS FOR EACH DEPARTMENT, PROJECT, OPERATION, ACTIVITY,
PURCHASE, ACCOUNT AND OTHER EXPENDITURES; PROVIDING FOR EMERGENCY
EXPENDITURES AND EXPENDITURES AS ALLOWED BY APPLICABLE STATE LAW;
PROVIDING FOR FILING OF DOCUMENTS; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING
FOR ENGROSSMENT AND ENROLLMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Mayor Smith proposed a two -cent reduction in the tax rate.
Mayor Pro Tem Williams made a motion to adopt the Ordinance approving the Budget for the fiscal year
2002/2003 with an amendment of reducing the long term street repairs in the amount of $111,736 and
take that savings to off -set the debt service payment. Council Member Edstrom seconded; motion carried
unanimously.
ADJOURN.
Mayor Pro Williams made a motion to adjourn at 9:20 p.m. Council
carried unanimously.
