STATE OF TEXAS 5 COUNTY OF DENTON 5 The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas, met in a Special SessionIPublic Hearing on Monday, January 29, 2007. The meeting was held within the boundaries of the Town and was open to the public. TOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: Nick Sanders Roger Williams Pam Cates Susan Edstrom Philip Sterlillg Gregory Lamont STAFF AND GUEST(S) PRESENT: Brandon Emmons Lisa Ramsey Patricia Adams Mayor Mayor Pro Tem Council Member Council Member Council Member Council Member Town Manager Town Secretary Town Attorney A.l Mayor Sanders called the Special Session to order at 7:09 p.m. noting a quorum was present. A.2 Mayor Sanders gave the Invocation. A.3 Mayor Pro Tem Williams led the Pledges. TOWN COUNCIL CONVENED INTO PUBLIC HEARING PUBLIC HEARING Public Hearing Opened at 7.1 1 p.m. B.l Public Hearing: Hold the first public hearing to consider the involuntary annexation and service plan for approximately 21.1346 acres in the M. Medlin Survey, A-832. The property to be annexed is within the Town's extraterritorial jurisdiction and is generally located along Marshall Creek Road adjacent to the northeast boundary. Town Manager Emmons explained although this is actually the second Public Hearing, it is posted as the first in order to satisfy the statute notification requirements to each public entity; the schools, county and MUDS. Emmons feels the staff has covered all bases by having one more public hearing than was needed. Mayor Sanders confirmed the notices went out certified but not return receipt. Town Attorney, Patricia Adams confirmed staff did everything over and above what was required by law. No one addressed council.
