RESOLUTION NO. 85-2
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS,
ESTABLISHING A SECURITY STUDY COMMITTEE;
PROVIDING TERMS; PRESCRIBING QUALIFICATIONS,
DUTIES AND POWERS OF MEMBERS; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Town of Trophy Club, Texas (the "Town"), being a newly
incorporated municipality, is in need of a study to determine the nature and amount
of security needed to protect the citizens of the community; and
WHEREAS, in the interest of general health, welfare and safety of the
citizens, the Town Council desires to establish a Security Study Committee for the
purpose of studying the security needs of the Town and making a report and
recommendation to the Town Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all the matters in the preamble are found to be true and
correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this Resolution as if copied in
their entirety.
Section 2. That the purpose of the Security Study Committee is to study the
security needs of the Town for the protection of its citizens, to make monthly
progress reports to the Town Council as to the status of the study, and to submit a
final written report on or before the 26th day of August, 1985, to the Town Council
for review and approval.
Section 3. The Security Study Committee shall consist of six (6) members,
one of whom shall be the Marshal, David Nolte, who shall serve as Chairperson.
Section 4. The term of appointment of each member shall commence upon
approval of the appointment and continue until September 1, 1985, provided,
however, that each member shall serve at the pleasure and will of the Town Council.
Section 5. The initial term of the Security Study Committee may be
extended by ordinance of the Town Council.
Section 6. The Town Council hereby appoints David Nolte, Pearl 0. Ford,
William C. Lagoni, Marianne Peterson, Jimmy D. Sturdevant, and Richard Venetoff
as committee members.

Section 7. That this Resolution shall become effective from the date of its
passage.
