RESOLUTION NO. 86-3
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS
RECOGNIZING THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF TROPHY CLUB
AS THE FIRST RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION TO BE ESTABLISHED
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, religious freedom is one of the fundamental principles which
forms the foundation of democracy and is recognized as such in the First
Amendment to the Constitution of the United States; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas (the
"Town") recognizes and affirms this foundational right and acknowledges that
religious freedom must be protected for all citizens of the Town; and
WHEREAS, by virtue of such religious freedom guaranteed to all citizens
and after consideration and approval by the Town Council, the First Baptist
Church of Trophy Club, Texas has chosen to establish its church within the
corporate limits of the Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and
correct and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 2. That the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club, Texas
hereby recognizes the First Baptist Church of Trophy Club, Texas as the first
religious institution to be established within the corporate limits of the Town.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect from and after its date
of passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Trophy
Club, Texas on this the 22nd day of June, 1986.
