A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB,
TEXAS SUPPORTING THE FINDINGS OF THE
INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35W CORRIDOR JUSTIFICATION
STUDY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club,
Texas has recognized the need for major transportation
improvements in the Interstate Highway 35W corridor between
U.S. Highway 820 and State Highway 114 to serve existing and
projected travel demand; and
WHEREAS, the presence of an effective road and highway
system is important in maintaining existing employers and
attracting new employers and encouraging economic development
in this region; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation authorized the City of Fort Worth, Texas in
Minute Order 86419 to conduct a feasibility study to determine
future interchange locations and identify ultimate freeway
improvements along the Interstate 35W corridor; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has completed the IH 35W
Corridor Justification Study and conducted public meetings
within the corridor to discuss and review these improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to
be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the Town Council supports the findings
of the Interstate Highway 35W Corridor Justification Study.
Section 3. That the Town of Trophy Club, Texas
encourages the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation to fund and construct the improvements to
Interstate Highway 35W in a timely and cost efficient manner.
