RES 1992-04TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, TEXAS
RESOLUTION NO. .92-04
WHEREAS, the North Central Texas Council of Governments
(NCTCOG) has been designated as the Metropolitan Planning
Organization (MPO) for the Dallas -Fort Worth Metropolitan
Area, with the Regional Transportation Council (RTC)serving
as an independent transportation policy committee; and,
WHEREAS, under the intermodal Surface Transportation
Efficiency Act of 1991 the project -level programming
responsibilities for Transportation Program funds in the
Dallas -Fort Worth Metropolitan Area have been assigned to the
RTC; and,
WHEREAS, the reconstruction of FM 1709 between Sri 114 and
I35W will become a principal arterial and has been recognized
by the State as a priority transportation improvement project
in Tarrant County; and,
WHEREAS, the portion of FM1709 from FM1938 to SH114 has
been approved by the Texas Department of Transportation and
is scheduled for a duly 1992 project letting; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN OF TROPHY CLUB, THAT
1. The Regional Transportation Council is respectfully
urged to select the FM1709 project from FM1936 to its
western limits for funding in the urban STP -MM fund
allocation for letting within the three year period
after October 1, 1992.
2. This resolution shall be in effect immediately upon its
adoption.
